Binh Dinh is a coastal province of the Southern Central Viet Nam; the north borders Quang Ngai Province, the south borders Phu Yen Province, the west borders Gia Lai Province, and the east borders the Eastern Sea; 1,065 km away from Ha Noi Capital, 686 km from Ho Chi Minh City, 300 km from Da Nang City, 300 km from Bo Y international border gate (bordering Laos).
Binh Dinh has a total natural area of 6,025 km2 and a population of about 1.6 million people. Regarding the administrative structure, Binh Dinh includes Quy Nhon City, An Nhon Town, and 9 districts, three of which are mountainous ones. Quy Nhon City is the first-graded one with an area of 284.28 km2 and a population of 260,000 people.
