If you have set foot in the land of Binh Dinh, you cannot help but visit An Nhon, about 40 kilometers from Quy Nhon city to explore Nui Mot lake. This is one of the largest freshwater lakes in the province, surrounded by vast forests and mountains with extremely rich ecosystems or fast-flowing waterfalls all year round, yet giving us a feeling of peace and tranquility, strangely peaceful.
From Highway 19, you just need to go to An Truong village in Nhon Tan commune, An Nhon district and then follow the signs to turn left onto a concrete road about 8km, you will see the large, clear and green Nui Mot lake with a charming wild beauty.
The lake is surrounded by the majestic An Truong mountain range, peacefully crossing the border between the two districts of An Nhon and Van Canh, surrounded by layers of trees covered with mystery and desolate. If you want to see the whole lake, you just need to go up about 700m more along the dam, stand on high and look down to feel the spacious space with forests and mountains in succession running far away at the end of the sky. I suddenly feel so small in front of this vast and vast nature.
In addition to the countless forests and mountains, there are also many houses on stilts with views overlooking the blue lake bed, quiet, you will hear the birds chirping, the wind blowing through the mountains. The canopy of trees and foliage, brings a feeling of peace and freshness, completely away from the hustle and bustle that we still experience in our daily lives, just being immersed in nature to relax.
And yet, far from the peacefulness of the lake, you can visit the unnamed waterfall on the mountain just 15 minutes to climb, regardless of day or night, rain or shine, the water flows from a height of 30 -40m pour down white foam, like pure white silks forgotten halfway up the mountain of some fairy, the water flows along many small streams, rocky crevices overflowing with the immense lake bed.
You do not need to worry about visiting the lake in any season, because even in the dry season, the stream water does not run out, you can go on a picnic with your family and friends, can bathe in the cool green stream in the morning. There is nothing more wonderful than bathing, having fun while enjoying the scenery of waterfalls and mountains.
An experience not to be missed is taking a boat on the lake, because the lake is very large, it will take about 1 hour to explore the whole place. Watching the boat drifting, drifting down the river, following the shadow of ancient trees to enjoy the space of water, clouds, trees, mountains and forests, listening to the murmuring streams, chirping birds, the sound of birdsong, the rustling leaves, the sound of the wind blowing, ... all create a picture of how charming nature is, rivers - streams - mountains - lakes.
If it is convenient to take a boat, you will also pass through the living area of the Bana ethnic minority, visit the site to enjoy the national cultural features with the sound of gongs, gongs, songs and dances only in This is new, you can totally dance to that tune, the people here are all very friendly and nice, so you don't have to worry when you visit.
You should also take a trip to the primeval forest with rich and diverse vegetation that is not found everywhere like here. Pay attention to the time to come in the evening, ask the boatman to row out to the middle of the lake to watch the sunset, watch the sun go down in the middle of this large space is equally interesting in the sea.
Walking around without enjoying any of the specialties of Nui Mot Lake will waste the whole journey. It is a specialty made from many different types of fish such as braised goby, sour carp, deep-fried carp, calamari, etc. I've heard of the dish, right, dishes that are delicious. Sipping with Binh Dinh famous ice wine is wonderful.
Come to Nui Mot Lake at least once in your life to witness, feel and fully immerse yourself in this wild but magnificent, mysterious but also poetic and charming natural space!
