Eo Gio belongs to area 3, Ly Luong village, Nhon Ly island commune, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province. It is a beautiful, arc-shaped blue strait surrounded by high curving rocky mountains. I don't know from when or from the love of photographers and tourists when visiting here, but the place Eo Gio - has been "awarded" as the place with the most beautiful sunset in Vietnam.
The name Eo Gio has been given by the people here for a long time from its geographical location. From a distance, Eo Gio looks like a saddle, located between two high mountains next to the sea, on the other hand, if you look down from above, it looks like a funnel, so Eo Gio always welcomes very strong wind from the sea. In winter, violent seas bring heavy rains and winds, the cold of sea water accompanied by rising waves will erode the rocks here, over time creating fissures across the mountains, forming towering cliffs. It is these natural factors that have created Eo Gio a wild and magnificent beauty.
From the top of Eo Gio, visitors can zoom out, the whole view of Nhon Ly island commune is like lying at their feet. This is the scene of the fisherman catching fish; the scene of fishermen competing to buy seafood when the boat came ashore; Phuoc Sa Pagoda - a temple with beautiful architecture, sacred nature and a statue of Quan Am on the top of the mountain facing the sea as if watching over, blessing the fishermen in the region; is Tinh Xa Ngoc Hoa - with the largest two-faced Guan Yin Buddha statue in Vietnam... All blends together in the vast sea and sky, creating a beautiful landscape of Eo Gio like a "booming" place.
Except for the rough sea season, visitors can visit Eo Gio during the period from March to the end of September of the lunar calendar. This is the time when the sea is calm, airtight, the water surface is calm and clear, very suitable for picnics, diving to see corals and conquering Eo Gio peak...
