At the meeting, the VISAM delegation spoke the establishment of BinhDinhCentre for Study in Applied Mathematics in the field of banking and financial economics.

Prof. Ngo BaoChau – the VISAM Director requested BinhDinh People’s Committee to recommend an appropriate site (about 1 hectare) within Science and Technology Urban Area, planned by the local authority. Besides, the province should prepare a high-qualified officials and cadres in this field so as to attract such talents for BinhDinh Province.

It is expected that when put into operation, a large number of conferences, workshops, international mathematics examinations, training association in mathematics and other scientific fields, and assistance for strategic researches will be organized at the VISAM branch in BinhDinh Province.

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman Mai ThanhThang was very glad to welcome and receive well-known mathematicians in the world to BinhDinh Province. He confirmed that VISAM and BIDV have chosen BinhDinh in order to set up BinhDinh Centre for Study in Applied Mathematics in the field of banking and financial economics would have a great influence on socio-economic development of the province afterwards.
