Provincial People’s Committee works with Vietnam-Korea Businessmen & Investment Association

(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the morning of September 26th, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang received and worked with the delegation of the Vietnam - Korea Businessmen & Investment Association (VKBIA), led by Dr. Tran Hai Linh - Member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of VKBIA Association.

At the reception, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Lam Hai Giang gave a brief on the provincial socio-economic development situation, potential, strengths in attracting investment as well as Korean invested projects in the province. Besides, Mr. Lam Hai Giang also said that, in recent years, Binh Dinh province has actively promoted external activities, enhanced promotion, established and expanded international cooperation relations with Korean partners and localities, in which there is a good friendship relation between Quy Nhon city (Binh Dinh province) and Yongsan district (Seoul city).

Vice Chairman of the PPC Lam Hai Giang acknowledged and highly valued VKBIA’s interest and promotion of friendly cooperation and investment between Binh Dinh and the Republic of Korea in the past years. Simultaneously, Mr. Lam Hai Giang requested VKBIA to continue to pay attention and introduce Korean enterprises and businesses to survey and seek for investment opportunities in Binh Dinh province; support the province in organizing investment promotion conferences in Korea; recommend enterprises of VKBIA Association that need to receive Vietnamese workers; cooperate with enterprises with the function of sending workers to work abroad under contracts to recruit provincial laborers to work in Korea.

Vice Chairman of the PPC Lam Hai Giang also requested VKBIA and Yongpyong Resort Group (Gangwon province, Korea), one of the largest groups of Gangwon province in particular and Korea in general, with its business activities in tourism and development of tourism-related services, work as a bridge to provide information and introduce Binh Dinh tourism to potential investors; support Binh Dinh in promoting and developing tourism to Korean partners.

With the role of an economic, trade, tourism, cultural and educational connection between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, VKBIA is committed to making great efforts to bridge people-to-people diplomacy and enhance practical effectiveness of activities between localities, agencies, organizations and businesses of the two countries.

Especially, VKBIA Chairman Tran Hai Linh said that in the coming time, VKBIA would support Binh Dinh in investment promotion and development of infrastructure investment projects in the province; assist cooperation between Binh Dinh province and Korean localities, particularly those with similar characteristics to Binh Dinh to promote cooperation agreements; cooperate to develop high-quality human resources in the province, recruit workers for Korean enterprises in Vietnam, in Korea and other countries, and send staff in accordance with regulations of the two countries.

The Provincial People's Committee and the delegation also exchanged contents that can be cooperated on the basis of potential and wishes of the two sides such as renewable energy, infrastructure investment, data center, travel and so on.

At the reception, VKBIA, Yongpyong Resort Group and Provincial Tourism Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding on promoting and developing Binh Dinh tourism.
