Marubeni Lumber Corporation (Japan) invested in Binh Dinh

On the morning of September 12, 2016 at the Office of Binh Dinh People’s Committee, Marubeni Lumber Corporation officially signed a contract to sublease the land use rights of Sai Gon – Nhon Hoi Joint Stock Company at Nhon Hoi Economic Zone. Attending and witnessing the signing ceremony there were Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee, Mr. Le Huu Loc, Former Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee, Chairman of Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association in Binh Dinh Province, Mr. Hitoshi Kato, Chairman of Japan – Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai, leading representatives of related departments, agencies of the province.

According to the contract, Marubeni Lumber Corporation will sublease the land use rights at B1.01+B1.02+B1.03+B1.04 with a total area of more than 100,000 m2 at Zone A in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone within 50 years. After the contract is signed, Sai Gon – Nhon Hoi Joint Stock Company will hand over the landmark of the area to Marubeni Lumber Corporation and complete formalities. At this area, Marubeni Lumber Corporation will construct a factory to produce wooden furniture with the total first-phase investment capital of 5 million USD.

Mr. Takimoto Jo – Representative of Marubeni Lumber Corporation in Vietnam said that Binh Dinh has advantages for the investment of his corporation. Besides, thanks to the assistance of Mr. Hitoshi Kato and leaders of Binh Dinh Province, the Corporation successfully signed the contract to sublease the land use rights. The Corporation hoped to continue receiving the assistance from Binh Dinh People’s Committee in the coming time.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung expressed his thanks to Mr. Hitoshi Kato for recommending Japanese enterprises to seek investment opportunities in Binh Dinh Province, including Marubeni Lumber Corporation. The Chairman said that was a good signal for Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and an opportunity for Binh Dinh to call for more Japanese enterprises to invest in the province. The Chairman also expressed his thanks to Marubeni Lumber Corporation for choosing Binh Dinh to implement the project and committed to creating favorable conditions so that the project would be soon implemented and put into operation in Binh Dinh Province.
