Amata Group plans to have a big investment in Binh Dinh
According to Binh Dinh People’s Committee, Amata Group (Thailand) plans to invest a large-scaled project in Binh Dinh.
At the end of 2014, the leaders of Amata Group had a meeting with the leaders of Binh Dinh Province on the expension of Nhon Hoi Economic Zone as well as expressed their interest in the position of Nhon Hoi Petrochemical Refinery Complex Project (or Victory Project) to study and promote a project investment in Binh Dinh.
The purpose of this visit is to deploy the following steps of Amata Group after Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, the President of the Group, suggested his idea of constructing a complex in Binh Dinh to the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Nguyen Tan Dung in December 2014.
The Prime Minister of Viet Nam agreed to add Nhon Hoi Petrochemical Refinery Complex Project (or Victory Project) to the national oil and gas development plan. The project is invested by PTT Public Company Limited and Saudi Aramco, with an estimated capital expenditure of 22 billion USD. This will be a prerequisite for Amata Group to invest in an urban and industrial area in Binh Dinh Province.
Besides Amata, VSIP (Singapore) also proposed to invest in a project “Industry – Trade – Service – Urban Complex” in Binh Dinh. VSIP project were implemented in Binh Duong, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, and Quang Ngai.
Amata has successful business investment in Amata Industrial Zone in Dong Nai Province and is following a High Technology Industrial Zone Project in Quang Ninh. This project has an estimated investment capital of 2 billion USD. In addition, Amata is planning to invest some other projects in Dong Nai.
In September 2014, Amata Group and Dong Nai People’s Committee signed the Memorandum of Understanding in order to implement a High Technology Zone and a Service Urban Zone in Long Thanh Distrist, Dong Nai Province. The project has an estimated investment capital of 530 million USD./.
