 At the working session, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the Working Group listened to Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of Binh Dinh Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Kim Toan report on the implementation of tasks in 2023, tasks key crops in 2024 and the years to come.

 In 2023 and the first 3 years of implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels, party committees, Party organizations, agencies, units and localities in the province have united, made efforts to overcome difficulties, and focused on implementing Drastically and synchronously implementing solutions for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building the political system in the area and achieving positive results.

 To date, there are 16/22 main targets for the 2020 - 2025 term including: 2/5 economic targets; 8/10 socio-cultural indicators; 5/5 environmental indicators; Half of the Party building targets have approached, achieved and exceeded the set plan. The remaining 6/22 indicators are for local product growth; economic restructuring; revenue; increase the rate of workers participating in social insurance; Poverty Reduction; Developing new party members needs to continue to strive for implementation during the remaining period of the term.

 In 2023 alone, the province will meet and exceed the plan for 17/19 socio-economic targets. Gross local product (GRDP) increased by 7.61%.  Economic scale is estimated at 117,668.8 billion VND, ranking 5/14 in the Central region;  GRDP per capita is estimated at 78.19 million VND. The fields of culture, education, health, science and technology;  Programs for sustainable poverty reduction, job creation, and vocational training are actively implemented. Social security policies are focused on implementation. People's lives are increasingly improved. National defense and security are maintained, political security, social order and safety are guaranteed.

 The work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system is carried out synchronously and drastically. The province successfully completed the vote of confidence according to regulations. The activities of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial National Assembly Delegates and People's Councils at all levels have had many innovations and improved quality.

 In 2024, Binh Dinh province will focus on directing the construction and effective implementation of the Provincial Planning Implementation Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050; Focus on removing bottlenecks and obstacles, continue to improve institutions, and synchronously and effectively implement solutions to improve productivity, quality and efficiency of the economy, and ensure social security. association, continue to improve people's lives, maintain political stability, ensure national defense - security and social order and safety; strive to achieve the target of gross local product GRDP increasing from 7.5% to 8%, bringing Binh Dinh closer to the goal of becoming a developed province in the leading group of the Central region as stated in the Resolution of the 20th Congress. The Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term has proposed.

 At the meeting, Binh Dinh province requested the National Assembly and the Government to approve the plan to deploy investment in building Phu Cat Airport according to the Planning period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050;  Allow investment in the Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway Project in the form of public investment and pay attention to allocating central budget capital for the project to ensure completion before 2030;  Pay attention to directing ministries and central branches to consider and prioritize the allocation of offshore wind power capacity to Binh Dinh province, including offshore wind power projects registered for investment in the List of power source projects  developed in the Implementation Plan of Electricity Planning VIII;  Pay attention to adjusting the coastal area of ​​Binh Dinh province as a "Priority area for encouraging wind power development" in the National marine spatial planning period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, to have a basis for  deploying offshore wind power projects in the coastal area of ​​Binh Dinh province.
