Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung met with Thai delegation regarding seeking for investment opportunities in the province

On March 11, 2016, at the Office of Binh Dinh People’s Committee, Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung and relevant departments, agencies had a meeting with EGAT International Company Ltd. (abbreviated EGATi) and B. Grimm Power Enterprise (Thailand) led by Mr. Pakorn Snguansuppayakorn, EGATi Deputy General Director, to seek for investment opportunities on wind power in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.

At the meeting, Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee gave a brief on socio-economic development in the province; at the same time, said that Binh Dinh is boosting foreign investment, especially countries in Asia and Asean. The provincial leaders warmly welcomed and received EGATi and B.Grimm Power to seek for wind power investment in the province.

The Chairman also said that Nhon Hoi Economic Zone has potential for wind power development and confirmed that the province would create favorable conditions for the investors to promote and implement the projects in the province.

Mr. Pakorn Snguansuppayakorn expressed his thanks to the provincial leaders for warm welcome. He also said that EGATi is investing a BOT project, called Quang Tri 1 Coal and Thremo-electricity Factory with a capacity of 1,200 MW. EGATi was informed that Binh Dinh has potential for wind power development, and the province has also planned an area for wind power projects in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone. After the meeting, EGATi and B.Grimm Power had a survey for the feasibility of wind power project implementation in Binh Dinh Province.
