The leaders of Binh Dinh People’s Committee met with a delegation of Japan – Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai and Marubeni Corporation

Marubeni Corporation was established in 1954, with its main business in timber. Mr. Shimizu Fumitaka said that the purpose of this visit was to invest in building a plywood factory which acacia and eucalyptus are major raw materials. The factory would be built in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone. Besides, the Corporation would like to export Hinoki timber to Binh Dinh for sale (Hinoki is one of the valuable and well-known forestry trees in Japan). Mr. Shimizu Fumitaka also requested the province would provide information on policies calling for investment in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, procedures to set up companies in Binh Dinh Province; the import and export process of products through the ports in Binh Dinh Province, materials for the factory, ways of purchasing materials, labor force, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung committed to creating favorable conditions for Marubeni Corporation to invest in Binh Dinh Province.
