The leader of Binh Dinh People’s Committee had a meeting with a delegation of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)
View of the meeting
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Ngo Dong Hai confirmed that both central and local functional agencies had made such great efforts to collect and dispose bombs, mines, and explosives in the province, but they had not solved the problem absolutely yet. Vice Chairman Ngo Dong Hai hoped that KOICA would soon implement the project in the province, providing equipment and advanced technology for clearing war-left bombs and mines; building communal and regional medical clinics with enough medical equipment for treatment, orthopaedics and rehabilitation for bomb and mine victims, helping them to soon integrate with the community and develop the economy; at the same time, enhancing the local people’s awareness to prevent accidents caused by bombs, mines and explosives, especially students so as to avoid regrettable consequences, helping the province to clear bombs, mines and explosives as well as assisting bomb and mine victims.
Mr. Chang Jae Yun, President of KOICA in Vietnam, said that KOICA would make efforts to survey within 4 months before making a decision to assist in collecting and disposing bombs and mines as well as helping the victims in the province.
