The Opening Ceremony of the International Scientific Conference entitled “The Second Heavy Collisions in the LHC era and beyond”

(binhdinh.gov.vn)-On the morning of July 27, 2015, at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), Rencontres du Vietnam in collaboration with Viet Nam Ministry of Science and Technology and People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province organized the International Scientific Conference entitled “The Second Heavy Collisions in the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) era and beyond”. This is one of the conferences in the framework of “The 11th Meeting Viet Nam” in 2015. The conference was also attended by Ms. Tran Thi Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee.

Prof. Jerome Friedman, awarded the Nobel Prize in physics in 1990, had a presentation at the opening session.

More than 50 professors, scientists from 15 countries and territories, both national and international researchers attending the conference (from July 27^th till August 1^st, 2015) will present and discuss 40 scientific reports on the latest results in physics. Especially, the conference was also attended and presented by prof. Jerome Friedman, awarded the Nobel Prize in physics in 1990.

Speaking at the Opening Session, Vice Chairwoman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Tran Thi Thu Ha emphasized this is a forum for young scientists of Viet Nam in general and Binh Dinh in particular to meet and exchange with both national and international scientists, contributing to developing science and technology, education and training for the province and the country. This also contributes to enhancing the position and image of Binh Dinh to all parts of the world.
