Chairman of Provincial People's Committee receives Consul General of India to Ho Chi Minh City
(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the morning of December 5, at the Headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Pham Anh Tuan and leading representatives of departments and agencies received Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India to Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India to Ho Chi Minh City expressed his thanks to the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee for the respectful welcome; at the same time, thanked the Provincial People's Committee for collaborating with the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City to successfully organize “Viet Nam - India Cultural and Artistic Exchange Program" at Binh Dinh Convention Center on the evening of December 4.
The Consul General of India to Ho Chi Minh City emphasized that India always gives priority to promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership with Viet Nam. Currently, in the situation the COVID-19 epidemic is gradually stabilizing, flights between the two countries have been reconnected and expanded, which has contributed to bringing many Indian businesses and tourists to Viet Nam as well as to Binh Dinh province.
Based on the achieved cooperation results between India and Binh Dinh province, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi suggested the two sides cooperate in such fields as tourism, trade, education, health care, and so on in the coming time. He also hoped that provincial departments and agencies to support and provide necessary information for Indian businesses to seek for investment opportunities in Binh Dinh province.

At the reception, PPC Chairman Pham Anh Tuan welcomed Indian Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Madan Mohan Sethi to pay a working visit in the province.
PPC Chairman Pham Anh Tuan highly valued the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership relations between Viet Nam and India. Especially, in 2022, the two countries have organized many activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (January 7, 1972 - January 7, 2022). Together with the whole country, Binh Dinh province and the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City have coordinated to organize a number of meaningful events in Quy Nhon city. Such events have contributed to enhancing the understanding and cultural exchanges of the two sides, strengthening the friendship and cooperation relations between Binh Dinh province and India in particular and Viet Nam and India in general.
Having the same view with Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan said that in the coming years, Binh Dinh and India would have many opportunities for cooperation, especially in the fields of tourism, IT, AI, health care, education, culture, etc.
PPC Chairman Pham Anh Tuan thanked the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City for paying attention to and promoting cooperation relations between Binh Dinh province and Indian localities and partners in the past years. At the same time, he hoped that the Consul General would continue to pay attention to and recommend Indian businesses to seek for investment opportunities in Binh Dinh province; supporting investment, trade and tourism promotion activities in the province as well as enhancing cultural and educational exchange events between the two sides.
Especially, PPC Chairman Pham Anh Tuan hoped in the coming time the two sides would strengthen meetings and discussions to develop and agree on the implementation of cooperation programs and specific action plans, in order to achieve better results in the cooperation relations between the two sides.
In addition, PPC Chairman Pham Anh Tuan said that at the invitation of the Consul General of India to Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Dinh would organize a delegation to pay a working visit in India in 2023 to enhance mutual understanding, exchange potential and strengths and seek for cooperation opportunities between the two sides. The Provincial People's Committee assigned Binh Dinh Department of Foreign Affairs to be a contact point, coordinating with the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City to agree on time, venue and related issues, contributing to the success of the working visit./.
