Meeting with Mr. Hitoshi Kato – Chairman of Japan – Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai, Japan

On the afternoon of February 16, 2017 Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung – Secretary of Binh Dinh Party Committee, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung – Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee, Mr. Phan Cao Thang – Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee and leaders of related departments, agencies had a meeting with Mr. Hitoshi Kato – Chairman of Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai, a member of the consultancy council for the provincial development regarding investment promotion activities and the calling for Japanese investors to invest in Binh Dinh (photo). Mr. Hroky Kato – Director of Kato Group and professors of Ryukoku University also attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Hitoshi Kato said that he had been very proud when working as a member of the consultancy council for the provincial development.  In the past years, Mr Hitoshi Kato made his great efforts to publicize and recommend the image, beauty spots, potential and advantages of Vietnam in general and Binh Dinh in particular in Japan; at the same time, called for Japanese enterprises to seek for their investment opportunities in Binh Dinh Province. Many documents related to Binh Dinh Province have also been translated into Japanese and sent to Japanese enterprises for their consideration and investment. Up to now, many enterprises and universities in Japan have visited Binh Dinh and implemented their cooperation in training, educational development, labor export, etc. and these activities have achieved positive results. With regards to the project of Japanese tuna fishing equipment and technique transfer, the Kato Group has continued to assist the province. According to Mr. Hitoshi Kato, many Japanese enterprises with their business activities in agricultural sector, processing and export of woods as well as many Japanese universities take a lot of interest in Binh Dinh Province.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung – Secretary of Binh Dinh Party Committee was very delighted to welcome the delegation of Mr. Hitoshi Kato, Kato Group (Japan) and professors of Ryukoku University to Binh Dinh and believed that the assistance and support made by Mr. Hitoshi Kato would enhance the cooperation between Binh Dinh Province and Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai. With the assistance made by Mr. Hitoshi Kato, many Japanese enterprises came to Binh Dinh to do their business activities. In the coming time, the province would organize an investment promotion program in Japan and hoped to receive the assistance of Mr. Hitoshi Kato to publicize the provincial image, potential and advantages; sending list of projects calling for investment to Japanese enterprises; working as a bridge to recommend Japanese investors to seek for their investment opportunities in Binh Dinh Province. The Secretary also committed to creating favorable conditions for enterprises to seek for their investment opportunities in Binh Dinh Province.
