(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the morning of February 9, in My Hoa commune, the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Phu My district held a launching ceremony to simultaneously start the construction of temporary and dilapidated houses in the district. The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of houses and the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses was held at the family of Ms. Vo Thi Le Binh, in An Lac 1 village, My Hoa commune. Ms. Binh's family is a poor household, with a simple and dilapidated house. Every day, Mrs. Binh does small business, combined with the monthly support from the state, her family has enough to eat, so the dream of having a new, solid house remains just a dream. And at the beginning of the Spring of At Ty 2025, this dream has gradually become a reality when the foundation bricks of the house are laid.

In addition to the state's support of 60 million VND, businesses and philanthropists in the commune also donated an additional 20 million VND to Mrs. Binh's family to build a house.
According to Phu My district's report, after reviewing in 2025, the whole district has 724 households in need of support to build and repair houses, including 340 newly built houses and 384 repaired houses. By subject, there are 566 households with revolutionary contributions, martyrs' relatives and 158 poor, near-poor and newly escaped poverty households.

During the launching ceremony, the entire district had 21 houses simultaneously started construction and repair. Phu My district set a goal of completing the construction and repair of houses on schedule, ensuring quality and sustainability for beneficiary households. By the end of May 2025, the construction and repair support work for 158 poor, near-poor and newly escaped poverty households and 566 policy households with revolutionary contributions in the district will be completed.

The whole province has more than 5,300 poor households, near-poor households, and policy families receiving support from the state, agencies, units, and communities to build and repair houses. In 2024 alone, more than 2,000 houses will be built and repaired solidly to help people settle down.

In 2024, the Prime Minister launched a movement to eliminate temporary, simple, and dilapidated houses nationwide. Binh Dinh is one of the pioneering provinces to implement this program and the province is determined to complete the support for the construction and repair of more than 4,400 houses in 2025.
