Delegation of Champasak province (Laos) visits and wishes a Happy New Year to leaders of the Provincial People's Committee

(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of January 23, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang chaired a reception for the delegation of Champasak province (Lao People's Democratic Republic) led by Mr. Som Bouttakoun - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Deputy Governor, who visited and wished a Happy New Year to Binh Dinh province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. Also attending the reception were representatives of leaders of relevant departments and branches.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang and representatives of leaders of several departments and branches received the delegation of Champasak province.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang informed about the socio-economic development situation of the province in 2024 and the tasks and directions for 2025. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Binh Dinh has a friendly cooperative relationship with 4 provinces of Southern Laos (Attapu, Champasak, Salavan, Sekong); in which, Binh Dinh and Champasak provinces have had a friendly cooperative relationship for more than 40 years. In the past time, the two provinces have regularly organized many delegation exchanges, visits, and congratulations to each other on the occasion of the two countries' holidays and New Year. In particular, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province and the Champasak Provincial Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the period 2021-2025 with the content of comprehensive cooperation in many fields. On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang thanked the Deputy Governor and members of the working delegation for taking the time to visit and celebrate Tet in the province. In order to continue to build and nurture the good friendship between the two sides, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his wish that the leaders of Champasak province, together with the leaders of Champasak province, would pay attention to and direct the continued strengthening and development of extensive cooperation in all fields to bring practical benefits to the people of the two provinces; maintain delegation exchange activities, regularly visit and share in a timely manner to continuously strengthen the special friendship and solidarity between the two sides. At the same time, pay attention to directing relevant units of Champasak province to actively coordinate with relevant departments and branches of Binh Dinh province to effectively implement the contents of the signed Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the period 2021 - 2025; prepare to evaluate and summarize the results of cooperation in the period of 2021 - 2025 and sign a cooperation agreement for the period of 2026 - 2030.

On this occasion, Comrade Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang wished Champasak province many new successes in the new year; wished the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two provinces to be increasingly tightened and developed.
