Workshop on guiding and orienting the connection of enterprises with e-commerce enterprises nationwide to develop the market through e-commerce

(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the morning of September 24, in Quy Nhon City, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) to organize a workshop on guiding and orienting the connection of enterprises with e-commerce enterprises nationwide to develop the market through e-commerce at the Central - Central Highlands region level. The workshop is within the framework of the National E-commerce Development Program in 2024.

Attendance at the workshop were comrades: Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Hoang Oanh - Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy; representatives of leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade of some provinces in the Central - Central Highlands; representatives of enterprises providing e-commerce solutions.

In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang emphasized: In the context of strong digital economic development, e-commerce is becoming a powerful tool to help enterprises, especially small and medium enterprises, easily access the market, expand business activities, and improve competitiveness. Connecting with advanced e-commerce solutions not only brings opportunities for local enterprises to access the domestic market but also opens up greater potential for export activities, especially for OCOP products, typical products of Binh Dinh province and the Central Highlands region.

 This workshop is an opportunity for businesses to discuss and share valuable experiences in e-commerce and find suitable solutions to develop the market, promote the connection between businesses and major e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, TikTok Shop, Alibaba, and comprehensive logistics solutions. This will contribute significantly to improving competitiveness, enhancing brand value and optimizing operational processes; helping businesses not only consolidate the domestic market but also reach out to international markets, especially in the export sector.

Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy Le Hoang Oanh believes that through the workshop, businesses will have more opportunities to connect faster and more effectively with products and services to create value chains in the Central Highlands and the whole country.  This is the premise for sustainable cooperation and long-term success. The Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with relevant agencies and organizations, is committed to always being ready to accompany and support businesses in this process.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Kha - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said that the implementation of solutions and activities to support the development of the province's e-commerce sector in the past time has made e-commerce a popular activity used and applied in state management agencies and the majority of enterprises in the province; contributing to improving the efficiency of management and operation activities of state agencies; improving the competitiveness of enterprises and the competitiveness of the province; promoting the industrialization and modernization process, in line with the international economic integration process; participating in the industrial revolution 4.0. In 2024, the e-commerce index of Binh Dinh province will rank 26/63 provinces and cities; up 02 places compared to 2023 (28/63 provinces and cities); ranked 06/15 provinces and cities in the Central - Central Highlands region.  In the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with specialized units nationwide to strengthen the organization of specialized training courses on skills to participate and sell on e-commerce platforms; skills to apply e-commerce to develop brands and do business effectively for enterprises in the province; skills to ensure safety and security in the digital environment to improve the quality of human resources in the field of e-commerce. In addition, the Department of Industry and Trade will aim to support ethnic minority areas to access and apply e-commerce in production and business; at the same time, research and build new distribution channels, support the consumption of local products, especially typical products of the province (such as coordinating with e-commerce platforms Shopee, TikTok shop... to build a program to promote Binh Dinh specialties, Binh Dinh specialty product festival, Binh Dinh product week on e-commerce platforms...). Build programs to connect the consumption of Binh Dinh products with export enterprises and foreign enterprises;  Support enterprises to participate in cross-border e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Alibaba ...). Continue to coordinate with commercial banks, payment intermediary service providers, tax authorities, disseminate to enterprises, retail units of goods and services (especially the system of retail agents, convenience stores), consumers to apply services on mobile platforms, apply digital signatures, perform electronic contracts, electronic invoices and cashless payments. Create opportunities for local enterprises, enterprises in the field of e-commerce to strengthen cooperation, share resources, experiences, technology to promote e-commerce application in production and business; narrow the gap in e-commerce development of Binh Dinh in particular and the provinces in the Central - Central Highlands region in general compared to other regions of the country.

The workshop assessed the cooperation and coordination between the parties: the State - e-commerce solution providers - manufacturers, businesses - e-commerce human resources (schools, training units) as an important factor to promote the sustainable development of e-commerce in the Central Highlands - Central region and towards connecting with international markets.

Binh Dinh province has great potential for economic development but still faces many difficulties. Enterprises in general, especially small and medium enterprises, often lack information, do not have the opportunity to access the market and have difficulty connecting with partners. Meanwhile, connection is a key factor to help enterprises develop sustainably. Therefore, to overcome the above problems, the workshop proposed to strengthen information and communication by building a business information portal to provide information on the market, support policies and business connection programs, organize conferences and seminars for enterprises to have the opportunity to exchange, learn and find partners. At the same time, support the development of connection networks through the establishment of business associations, implementing business connection programs. In addition, it is necessary to focus on organizing training and developing human resources for enterprises; introducing start-up support programs, helping creative ideas have the opportunity to be realized.  At the workshop, delegates also explored the benefits of AI and business connection tools/solutions; shared logistics solutions and comprehensive cargo insurance for agricultural products and products in the Central Highlands region... In addition to ideas to promote business connections with e-commerce enterprises nationwide to develop the market through e-commerce, at the workshop, there were also commitments to promote cross-border e-commerce for products of Binh Dinh province and the Central Highlands region; supported online export enterprises through activities such as raising awareness, consulting and training, providing export support services and coordinating the implementation of business support projects./.
