Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee attended the 2nd Congress of Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association

Executive Board of Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association in Binh Dinh period 2016-2021.

Speaking at the congress, Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung emphasized, Vietnam and Japan have established the comprehensively diplomatic relation for more than 40 years in a number of fields. Binh Dinh is one of the provinces to develop the diplomatic relation between the two countries with the support and assistance of Vietnam Consulate General in Osaka, Japan and Mr. Hitoshi Kato, Chairman of Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association in Sakai. The cooperation between Binh Dinh and Japan has reached positive results, and the great contribution made by Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association in Binh Dinh Province is very important. The Association has successfully worked as a bridge to connect between the people, agencies, organizations, and enterprises of Binh Dinh Province and provinces/cities in Japan, especially provinces in Kansai, Japan. 

Chairman Ho Quoc Dung requested the provincial departments, agencies to co-operate in managing activities and create favorable conditions for the activities of Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association in Binh Dinh Province in the coming time. 

Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association in Binh Dinh Province in the previous office term with the motto of unity, peace, friendship and cooperation in collaboration with departments, agencies, units in the province actively implemented and achieved results of people-to-people activities and widely propagandized the good cooperation relation between Vietnam and Japan in the new period. The Association also promoted the role as the contact point in mobilizing and promoting the activities of friendship, cooperation and economic, cultural - social, scientific - technical exchanges based on the contents of cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in general, Binh Dinh and Japanese partners in particular. Especially, the Association has connected and constructed a good friendship and cooperation relation with Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association in Sakai. The cooperation has reached such positive initial results when Binh Dinh received Japanese tuna fishing equipment and technique transfer in order to exploit, store oceanic tunas with an aim of increasing fishing effectiveness and exporting to the Japanese market.

At the Congress, 35 people were selected for the executive board of Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association in Binh Dinh Province, the 2^nd office term, period 2016-2021 and 3 people were selected for the Checking Board. Mr. Le Huu Loc – former Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee, Chairman of the 1^st office term Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association in Binh Dinh Province was selected to be Chairman of the 2^nd office term Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association in Binh Dinh Province.
