Binh Dinh high-ranking delegation paid a working visit to Salavan: Enhancing the comprehensively friendship and cooperation relation between the two provinces

Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Xixuvan Vongchomxi, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Salavan People’s Committee, Mr. Vixien Navikun, Vice Chairman of Salavan People’s Committee and leaders of departments, agencies in the province.
At the meeting, Mr. Xixuvan Vongchomxi welcomed Binh Dinh delegation to pay a working visit to Salavan. He expressed his sincere thanks for the assistance and support of Binh Dinh in such fields as technical transfer in cultivation, breeding, assistance of plant varieties and animal breeds, human resource training in the fields of healthcare, education, external cooperation, and so on. A Salavan leader said that thanks for the assistance and support of Binh Dinh Province, Salavan socio-economic development has been dramatically increased for the past years. This is a concrete evidence for the comprehensively friendship and cooperation relation between the Parties, the local authorities and the people of the two provinces. Salavan leaders invited Binh Dinh enterprises to promote the investment in Salavan Province in such fields as building materials, petroleum, hotels, business center, the investment of planting industrial and agricultural plants, etc.
Leaders of Binh Dinh and Salavan signed the Memorandum of Cooperation period 2016-2021.
Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung expressed his thanks to Salavan leaders for warm welcome; at the same time, introduced the achievements in socio-economic development of the province. The Chairman highly valued the prospects of cooperation between the two provinces. Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee hoped Salavan leaders to continue to create favorable conditions and clear business environment for Binh Dinh enterprises to invest in Salavan. The Chairman also invited Salavan leaders to pay a working visit to Binh Dinh in August, 2016.
In the spirit of cooperation, friendship and mutual understanding, after the meeting, leaders of the two provinces agreed to sign the contents of cooperation for the period 2016 – 2021. Binh Dinh will continue to assist Salavan with the model of hybrid corn production on the scale of 5 ha; the model of keeping fish in the pond; the assistance of equipment, devices, materials for cow breed. Binh Dinh annually sends experts in cultivation, fishery, breeding and veterinary to help Salavan Province with cultivation measures, the caring and protection of cultivated crops, breeding technique and disease prevention for cattle, poultry and aquatic product.

The two provinces committed to inviting enterprises to participate in trade fairs, held in each province and offering free stalls for these enterprises. Binh Dinh will continue to send large-scaled enterprises to seek investment opportunities in Salavan, and Salavan will also send enterprises to Binh Dinh to seek for investment opportunities.

Binh Dinh will continue to offer scholarships for three Salavan students to study at Quy Nhon University; training 2 Salavan cadres to study for their master’s degrees in Binh Dinh. Binh Dinh will annually offer scholarships for 5 students with consecutive training from middle-ranking level to higher one and the training for a Salavan teacher to study at Quy Nhon Vocational Training College. Binh Dinh will also receive two Salavan doctors to have their further education at Binh Dinh General Hospital. On cultural, sporting and tourist sectors, the two provinces will strengthen the tourist connection with new programs and diversified products so as to meet the requirements of tourists in the coming time. Salavan also issues mechanism, policies so as to create favorable conditions for Binh Dinh enterprises to do their business in Salavan.
