Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan received and worked with the New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam

(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of June 9, at the Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had a meeting and worked with Ms. Tredene Dobson, Ambassador New Zealand in Vietnam. Attending the meeting were representatives of leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

At the meeting and working session, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his pleasure to welcome Ms. Tredene Dobson - New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam and members of the delegation to visit. and work in Binh Dinh province; At the same time, he highly appreciated New Zealand's cooperation with Binh Dinh province in the fields of Agriculture and rural development, Health, Education and training, and Trade... Among which, the success of the Project was outstanding. Sustainable rural livelihoods - connecting agricultural products with the market. After 5 years (2016-2021) of project implementation, 1,260 farmer households in Binh Dinh province have participated, contributing to improving food safety for consumers, bringing benefits to health and environment;  creating a premise for Binh Dinh province to continue to expand production of safe vegetables in particular and clean agricultural products in general in the coming time.  In the field of health, Binh Dinh province has been supported by the New Zealand Government through the New Zealand - Vietnam Health Trust Organization to implement many support activities and transfer technical expertise in the field of trauma., Pediatrics, Hematology, Nursing for Hospitals.

An overview of the province's socio-economic development has been achieved in recent years and information on geographical location, natural conditions, potential, advantages, as well as efforts of the system  Politics in mobilizing all resources to build Binh Dinh province more and more developed, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan wished Ms. Tredene Dobson, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam to pay attention and support to Binh Dinh province. Dinh intends to continue connecting with partners from New Zealand, areas where New Zealand has strengths and the province has needs such as: Agriculture and rural development, human resource development, health, poverty alleviation; further promote friendly cooperation at the local level; support to connect, introduce New Zealand businesses to survey and learn about investment opportunities in Binh Dinh province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan wished the relationship between the two countries Vietnam - New Zealand to achieve more good results and wished the exchange and cooperation relationship between Binh Dinh province and partners from New Zealand more and more.  strengthened and contributed to deepening the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and New Zealand.

At the meeting, Ms. Tredene Dobson, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam, thanked for the warm welcome of the leaders of the province and departments during her working time in Binh Dinh province. Ms. Tredene Dobson is very impressed with the natural beauty and friendly people; hospitality, as well as impressions of the province's construction and development orientation in the coming time. Ms. Tredene Dobson hopes that in the coming time, she will strengthen the cooperation relationship in the fields of strength of the province, especially sustainable tourism development, associated with community tourism models.  Continue to strengthen cooperation in the fields that New Zealand is implementing in Binh Dinh such as: Agriculture, Health, Investment and Trade. At the same time, the New Zealand Government continued to select Binh Dinh province as one of the next five provinces and cities in Vietnam to support the implementation of the Phase 3 Dike Safety Program.

In her position, Ms. Tredene Dobson, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam, will act as a bridge for the cooperation relationship of the two sides. In that spirit, it will increasingly enhance the cooperative and friendly relationship between New Zealand and Vietnam in general and with Binh Dinh province in particular.
