At the reception, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh gave an overview of the socio-economic development situation of Binh Dinh province in the first 6 months of 2024.
Regarding the cooperation situation between Binh Dinh province and Chinese localities and partners, up to now, Binh Dinh has a total of 89 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over 1.18 billion USD; including 20 projects with capital from investors from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan with a total registered investment capital of 229.05 million USD. In the first 7 months of 2024, the total export turnover (EXR) to the Chinese market is estimated at 126 million USD, an increase of over 51% over the same period in 2023. The main export items include: wood, cassava and cassava products, ores and other minerals, plastic products,... Of which, wood products account for the highest proportion, reaching over 57% of the province's total EXR to China. The province's total import turnover (KNNK) from the Chinese market is estimated at 101 million USD, an increase of nearly 23% over the same period in 2023.
In addition, Binh Dinh province has received a non-project aid "Support for building houses of gratitude for households in difficult circumstances in Binh Dinh province" sponsored by the Consulate General, with a total cost of 325 million VND (equivalent to 100,000 yuan) to build 06 houses for families in difficult circumstances in Phu Cat, Phu My, Hoai An districts and Hoai Nhon town; thereby contributing to helping families in difficult circumstances improve their living conditions.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh thanked the sentiments of the Chinese Consul General in Da Nang city for the province when he learned that she had visited and worked in Binh Dinh province many times.
