Opening Ceremony of the ITF - BT50 2024 International Beach Tennis Tournament

(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the evening of August 19, at Victory Square (Quy Nhon City), the Vietnam Tennis Federation coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Binh Dinh Province to organize the Opening Ceremony of the ITF - BT50 2024 International Beach Tennis Tournament. Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice Chairman and General Secretary of VTF shared: The ITF-BT50 2024 International Beach Tennis Tournament aims to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945-2024), welcoming the National Tourism Year 2024. This is also the first time Vietnam has hosted an international beach tennis tournament, which is considered an important event marking a new turning point for Vietnamese beach tennis; at the same time, it is an opportunity for Binh Dinh province to promote the image of attractive culture, tourism and the warm, hospitable people of the martial arts land of Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh to the world; contributing to promoting the potential of tourism, culture, sports, promoting investment opportunities of provinces and cities in particular and Vietnam in general.

The tournament is organized by the Vietnam Tennis Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports, including: ITF - BT50 -1 International Beach Tennis Tournament, Fleur De Lys Cup 2024 (from August 19 - 20) and ITF - BT50 - 2 Vietravel Cup International Beach Tennis Tournament 2024 will take place (from August 22 - 25), with the participation of 36 athletes from 7 countries: Japan, Thailand, Latvia, Slovakia, Philippines, Italy and Vietnam.

The competition content of the two ITF - BT50 2024 International Beach Tennis Tournaments includes men's doubles and women's doubles with a total prize value of up to 8,000 USD (4,000 USD/tournament).
