Gratitude to people with revolutionary contributions

Tay Son district currently has more than 2,700 families with meritorious services, war invalids, families of martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions; of which more than 1,800 beneficiaries are entitled to monthly allowances, with monthly allowances of more than 2.7 billion VND. The district has actively promoted preferential policies and regimes for people with meritorious services; Directed the timely implementation of policies and regimes according to regulations such as: monthly preferential allowances, nursing regimes, preferential treatment in education and training for children of war invalids, martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions;  Focus on resolving the backlog of confirmation and recognition of people participating in resistance activities,... In the first 6 months of 2024, Tay Son district organized regular payments and post-payments for 9,360 people with revolutionary contributions with an amount of more than 19,558 billion VND; paid one-time allowances and funeral expenses for 37 people with a total amount of 514.04 million VND; paid preferential education for children of 10 people with revolutionary contributions with an amount of 69.6 million VND; bought health insurance for 1,602 people with revolutionary contributions with an amount of more than 777 million VND; paid extra meals on holidays and Tet for 19 war invalids and sick soldiers with a rate of 81% or more with an amount of 34.2 million VND.  Receive, resolve and forward the request to the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of the province to consider and resolve 53 files of people with revolutionary contributions, including prison records, resistance war activists, burial records for people with revolutionary contributions; martyr worship records; information correction records... On the occasion of July 27 this year alone, Tay Son district allocated 176 million VND to organize visits and present 275 gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and typical revolutionary contributors in the district. In addition, 5 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers still living in the district are all supported by units, organizations and individuals for life with a level from 500,000 VND to 1,000,000 VND/month/mother. In addition, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, units and individuals inside and outside the district actively participate in activities to care for policy beneficiaries.  In particular, the Standing Committee of the District Youth Union coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union to visit, give gifts and especially organize a "Gratitude Meal" at the house of the heroic Vietnamese mother Tham Thi Thanh (Tay Vinh commune). The meal was prepared by the union members and young people themselves with fresh ingredients, cooked the dishes that Mother liked and gathered to chat and eat with Mother, listening to Mother tell emotional stories of the resistance war. In addition, the District Youth Union also coordinated with the District Young Doctors Club to organize a program to visit, provide health consultation, and give free medicine to 05 heroic Vietnamese mothers who are still living in the district, so that the mothers always live happily and healthily.

Also on the occasion of July 27 this year, Tay Son district was honored to welcome Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly to present 22 gifts to exemplary policy households in the district. The National Assembly's Ethnic Council and Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank presented 300 million VND to Tay Son district to support policy households and people with revolutionary contributions in the district

Ms. Nguyen Nu Sinh, Deputy Secretary of Tay Son District Youth Union: The activities to take care of gratitude work show deep gratitude to local Party committees and authorities, especially the youth, for the great sacrifices and contributions of heroic Vietnamese mothers and people with revolutionary contributions in the cause of national liberation, national reunification, building and defending the Fatherland;  At the same time, educating the revolutionary tradition for the younger generation. From there, helping union members and youths to be aware of their responsibilities, strive to practice, preserve and promote the revolutionary achievements of previous generations, contributing to building the homeland. With practical and meaningful activities, Tay Son district has been doing better in the work of "Repaying gratitude", thereby improving the material and spiritual life of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, families of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services in the area, contributing to building the homeland of Tay Son to become increasingly prosperous, beautiful and civilized.
