The Binh Dinh province delegation visited and worked in Champasak province, Lao PDR

 At the meeting, the two sides discussed the contents of the cooperation agreement between the two provinces for the period 2021-2025 with comprehensive cooperation in many fields.  After signing, the two sides coordinated to implement cooperation contents, initially achieving a number of important results, specifically as follows:

 (1) Regarding education and training: From the 2021-2022 school year to the 2023-2024 school year, Binh Dinh province has granted 40 full scholarships for Champasak province students to study at universities and colleges. in Binh Dinh province (including 15 university scholarships and 02 master's scholarships at Quy Nhon University; 17 transfer scholarships from vocational secondary school to vocational college at Quy Nhon College of Technology  Nhon; 06 college seats at Medical College). In addition to training, schools are always interested in organizing many cultural and sports exchange activities between Vietnamese students and Lao students; Create conditions for Lao students to participate in cultural exchange activities, visit scenic spots and historical sites in the province to help Lao students understand more about the culture and customs of the Vietnamese people in general and Binh Dinh province in particular.

 (2) Other fields: The authorities of the two provinces have actively coordinated to implement the cooperation contents that the leaders of the two provinces signed. The Departments of Science and Technology, Justice, and Provincial Youth Union organized a working delegation to visit and work with agencies of Champasak province to exchange professional work experience and support some office equipment (computer, printer, scanner...). The Military Headquarters of Binh Dinh province visited, wished Tet, provided medical examination and medicine to people in difficult areas of Champasak province. The Department of Tourism of Binh Dinh province welcomed a delegation from Champasak province to visit and conduct field surveys at a number of tourist destinations in Binh Dinh to strengthen tourism development links between the two provinces. The Department of Foreign Affairs of Binh Dinh province coordinates to support procedures related to funding for Champasak province to build friendship projects;  coordinate in recruiting and receiving students from Champasak province to study in Binh Dinh province,....

Plans and orientations for implementing cooperation contents between the two provinces in the coming time, specifically: In 2024 and 2025, Binh Dinh province continues to promote the policy of implementing cooperation with the Southern provinces of Laos in general and Champasak province in particular according to the signed Memorandum of Cooperation, with some main contents such as: continuing to provide scholarships for students of Champasak province (and Southern Laos provinces) to study in Binh Dinh province; coordinate to complete and put into use the friendship project "Renovating and completing the Champasak Provincial Museum"; Effectively implement cooperation content in the fields of health, industry and trade, investment, agriculture, culture and sports, youth exchange, information - communication, science - technology  and foreign affairs.

 To effectively implement the cooperation program, the leaders of the two provinces will continue to strengthen and develop the comprehensive cooperative relationship to promote potential, advantages and bring practical benefits to the people of the two provinces; Maintain delegation exchange activities, regularly visit and promptly share to continuously tighten the special friendship and solidarity between the two sides; Continue to pay attention to directing agencies and units of Champasak province to actively coordinate with relevant departments and branches of Binh Dinh province to effectively implement the contents of the Memorandum of Cooperation for the 2021 period - 2025 signed between the two provinces; At the same time, continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for businesses in Binh Dinh province to invest, produce, do business and implement projects in Champasak province, promptly support to remove difficulties and obstacles to help businesses operate effectively, contributing to creating jobs for local people and making practical contributions to the development of each side.

 On the occasion of Bunpimay Tet, on behalf of the leaders of the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Dinh province, comrade Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang sent to the provincial leaders and people of Champasak province in particular and the people of Laos strong new year wishes: healthy, happy, successful, happy spring, new year of victory;  Wishing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and Peoples of Vietnam and Laos in general, and the friendly cooperative relationship between Binh Dinh province and Binh Dinh province. Champasak is increasingly consolidated, tightened and developed.

 On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Champasak province, comrade Som Buttakun, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Deputy Governor of Champasak province, sincerely thanked the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Dinh province for their cooperation, sincerity and friendship in recent times. He wished the delegation's business trip a great success and hoped that the friendly relationship between the two localities would always be sustainable, and that the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos would always be green and eternal.

 During this working visit, comrade Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang awarded the project "Renovating and completing the Champasak Provincial Museum" with a total investment of 15 billion VND as a gift from the Party Committee, government and people. People of Binh Dinh province donated to the Party Committee, government and people of Champasak province.
