 Sustainable Environment Project in Coastal Cities - Quy Nhon city sub-project has a total investment capital of more than 33.236 million USD. In which, ODA capital is more than 30.6 million USD, the province's reciprocal capital is more than 2.6 million USD.

 According to the report of the Provincial Civil and Industrial Project Management Board, so far, out of a total of 13 contracts/contract packages of the project with a total investment of nearly 570 billion VND, 9 packages have been completed with the price  Disbursed value is nearly 250 billion VND, 2 bidding packages with the value of nearly 90 billion VND will be fully completed before April 15, 2023, 1 contract as planned will be completed by December 2023 and  1  The contract will be completed by February 2024 at the latest.

 For the construction item to expand Long My solid waste burial site, 90% of the volume in the contract has been completed, the construction unit is focusing on personnel and equipment to complete the remaining works.

 For the expanded construction item, raising the capacity of Nhon Binh wastewater treatment plant to 28,000 m3/day has basically completed the raw part; are installing technical pipelines of all kinds; The project is expected to complete the trial operation, acceptance and handover by the end of 2023.

At the meeting, the representative of the World Bank delegation highly appreciated the progress of implementation and arrangement of counterpart funds of the province for the project; At the same time, he affirmed that Binh Dinh is the province with the fastest implementation progress among the four provinces (Quang Binh, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan) benefiting from the project. However, the representative of the World Bank delegation also pointed out many shortcomings, limitations and responsibilities of stakeholders in the implementation process; through which there are solutions to remove obstacles and difficulties in project implementation, in order to effectively use the project's capital.

 The World Bank delegation also requested Binh Dinh province to urgently complete and approve the revised and supplemented project operation manual to serve as a legal basis for project implementation; soon promulgate a roadmap for wastewater tariff. Strengthen supervision of construction quality, site safety, social and environmental monitoring, post-investment asset management.
