6 Nobel-laureates will come to Binh Dinh in June

The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Truong Minh Tuan, Member of the Central Party Committee, Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh, Member of the Central Party Committee, Minister of Science and Technology, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee and Professor – Academician Nguyen Van Hieu, Representative of Rencontres du Vietnam. About 150 national and international news agencies attended the press meeting.
6 Nobel-laureates include Prof David Jonathan Gross – a Nobel-laureate in physics in 2004; Prof Carlo Rubbia – a Nobel-laureate in physics in 1984; Prof Finn Erling Kydland- a Nobel-laureate in economics in 2004; Prof Jean Jouzel – a Nobel-laureate for peace in 2007; Prof Jerome Isaac Friedman – a Nobel-laureate in physics in 1990; Prof Kurt Wuthrich, a Nobel-laureate in chemistry in 2002.
“The 12th Meeting Vietnam” in 2016, held from June 26th till December 17th, 2016 at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Educations (ICISE), Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province.
In the framework of the scientific activities, there will be 12 international conferences and 3 international courses in physics, attracting the participation of more than 1600 professors and scientists.
The contents of the conference “Fundamental Science and Society” will focus on the issues related to fundamental science and society in Asia in general, especially in newly-emerging economies around Vietnam with specific themes of these countries. The conference also aims at providing scientists opportunities to exchange and interact with policy-makers and representatives of private economic sectors in terms of the importance of fundamental science towards socio-economic development.
At the press meeting, Binh Dinh People’s Committee informed the time for the Inauguration Ceremony of Space of Science (Phase I), including Planetarium, Science Museum and Astronomical Observatory.
“The 12th Meeting Vietnam” in 2016 in Binh Dinh Province will also attract leading representatives of big economic corporations in the world such as the Solvay Group, Brussels, Belgium, specializing in chemical substances, the Valeo Group, France, specializing in automobile spare parts, the SANOFI-AVENTIS Group, France, specializing in pharmaceutical products, the Airbus Group, France, specializing in aircraft products and so on.
