Many well-known scientists participate in “The 12^th Meeting Vietnam”

“The 12^th Meeting Vietnam” will be held from June 26 till December 17, 2016 in Binh Dinh Province. The most remarkable scientific activity will be held from July 6^th till July 8^th 2016, including the inauguration ceremony of “Space of Science” (phase I) in Binh Dinh Province and the International conference “Fundamental Science and Society”.

The contents of the conference “Fundamental Science and Society” will focus on the issues related to fundamental science and society in Asia in general, especially in newly-emerging economies around Vietnam with specific themes of these countries. The conference also aims at providing scientists opportunities to exchange and interact with policy-makers and representatives of private economic sectors in terms of the importance of fundamental science towards socio-economic development.

The conference will be co-organized by Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology, Binh Dinh People’s Committee, Rencontres du Vietnam, the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), Geneva, Switzerland and the Solvay Institute (Brussels, Belgium).

In order to provide more information on this special event, the Organizing Committee will hold a press meeting at the Head Office of Ministry of Information and Communications (18 Nguyen Du, Ha Noi) at 9:00 on June 3^rd, 2016.

It is expected that the press meeting will attract more than 100 journalists from national and international news agencies.
