Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee met with the Country Director of World Bank (WB) in Vietnam

At the meeting, Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee highly valued the working visit of the delegation of the WB in Vietnam, expressing his thanks for Mr. Ousmane Dione’s interest in Binh Dinh Province in the past years, especially the assistance of WB during the provincial reconstruction after the five floods at the end of 2016.

The Chairman emphasized, ODA from WB would be very important to the sanitation project in Quy Nhon City, the second phase and the provincial reconstruction after the floods. The Chairman hoped WB would continue assisting and counseling policies for Binh Dinh Province in terms of the construction package of the provincial infrastructure.

Mr. Ousmane Dione – the Country Director of WB in Vietnam highly valued the efforts and success of the project that WB had helped to implement in Binh Dinh; at the same time, shared his feelings related to the consequences caused by the floods in Binh Dinh. Mr. Ousmane Dione said the objectives of ODA this time would be to reconstruct the infrastructure in Binh Dinh Province after the floods, enhancing the capacity of disaster prevention in Binh Dinh Province.
