Strengthen information exchange and build new cooperation orientations between Binh Dinh province and the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai

At the reception, Mr. Hiroki Kato said that based on the close friendship relations between the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai and Binh Dinh province for many years, the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai would like to support Binh Dinh province to successfully organize activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations (September 21, 1973 - September 21, 2023), contributing to further tightening the good friendship relations between Binh Dinh province and Japanese localities, as well as promoting Binh Dinh image to Japanese people.
Besides, the Association also hoped to support Binh Dinh province to implement a cooperation plan with Izumisano city, Osaka (Japan) and develop a plan to organize an investment promotion seminar in Izumisano city in 2023. Previously, on October 21, 2019, through the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai, Binh Dinh Province and Izumisano City Government had signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation and development relations in the fields of administration, culture, tourism, training and other sectors. In addition, the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai would also like to continue to support the province in implementing a number of projects such as the project of planting cherry blossom trees, the project of exploiting and consuming of Binh Dinh oceanic tunas, the model of growing black garlic based on Japanese technology, etc.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan expressed his thanks to Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai for the support and companionship with Binh Dinh province over the past years, including Mr. Hitoshi Kato (Chairman of the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai, passed away in 2022).
In the coming years, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan hoped that both would strengthen information exchange and develop new cooperation orientations to achieve more extensive results in the good relations between the two sides.
In the first place, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan would like the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai to provide information and support Binh Dinh province to develop a specific plan for investment promotion program in Izumisano city in order to create a breakthrough in calling for investment in Japan.
About the project of planting cherry blossom trees, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai to coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to speed up the handover of cherry blossom trees, contributing to creating typical local tourism products, attracting a large number of tourists to Binh Dinh province in the coming years.
