Binh Dinh starts construction of the Artificial Intelligence Center - Auxiliary Urban Area Project

Provincial leaders visit the project implementation model

The project has a scale of more than 93.2 hectares, with a total investment of VND 4,362 billion, invested by FPT Quy Nhon Joint Venture, with 3 participating units, including: FPT Danang Urban Joint Stock Company, FPT Investment Company Limited, FPT Software Company Limited. The project consists of 3 main functional areas: AI Center, education and training area, and auxiliary urban area.

In which, the AI ​​Center is a place for research, training, software production, digital transformation support, providing network security solutions, social security, AI serving people, improving productivity, quality, and service value.  The auxiliary urban area ensures the provision of essential utilities according to the characteristics of the AI ​​urban area, contributing to attracting high-quality human resources to Binh Dinh, especially human resources in the fields of high technology, new technology, and AI.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, affirmed: The project is implemented to attract investment in the field of research, innovation and development of artificial intelligence in the era of technology 4.0, towards the era of technology 5.0. Building a new modern urban area in terms of space organization, architecture, landscape, synchronous technical infrastructure and social infrastructure with the main nature of an AI urban area.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said: This is not only a turning point in the socio-economic development process of the province, but also a vivid demonstration of the province's determination to grasp and apply scientific and technological achievements into practical life according to the direction of the Politburo in Resolution No. 52 dated September 27, 2019.

According to Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan, in order to soon develop the province quickly and sustainably, Binh Dinh has focused on effectively promoting its own resources, potentials, advantages, and promoting the development of industry, services, tourism, and high-tech agriculture. Especially since the 18th Provincial Party Congress for the 2010-2015 term, Binh Dinh has always identified science and technology development as a breakthrough direction for the locality. Up to the 20th Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, implementing Resolution No. 52 dated September 27, 2019 of the Politburo on a number of policies and guidelines to proactively participate in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Provincial Party Committee has issued a separate Action Program on science and technology development. In which, the goal of developing science and technology and innovation is determined to become a driving force for socio-economic development and sustainable development;  Building Binh Dinh into a destination for technology enterprises and scientists in the world and in the country. Developing Quy Hoa Science Urban Area with the core being the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education; building the AI ​​Center - Auxiliary Urban Area in Quy Nhon City.

The construction of this project is a testament to the province's determination to proactively participate in the fourth industrial revolution, in line with the Politburo's directions in Resolution No. 52, contributing to rapidly increasing the province's science and technology potential, especially in the fields of AI, Internet of Things, big data, thereby promoting the development of the digital economy and enhancing the province's competitiveness in the digital age.

 Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized: This project is one of the main driving forces, the source to promote the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, contributing to the realization of the goals set out in the Provincial Party Committee's Action Program No. 10. At the same time, it is the nucleus to promote the development of smart, modern and sustainable urban areas, helping Binh Dinh achieve the above goals and become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign technology investors.
