Focus on organizing well the contents of the 8th International Festival of Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts

According to a report of the Department of Culture and Sports, as of noon on July 26, there were 65 delegations (including 16 foreign delegations) with a total of about 1,200 masters and students registered to participate in the 5th Vietnam International Traditional Martial Arts Festival. VIII - 2023, taking place from August 2 - August 5, 2023.

 The script of the opening and closing ceremony and martial arts exchange programs between domestic and foreign delegations have been approved by all levels and are being implemented. In particular, the opening ceremony (taking place on the evening of August 2) with the theme "Vietnamese traditional martial arts - Aspiration to reach far" had the participation of about 400 artisans, artists, actors, singers, martial arts masters, martial artists. students, collaborators of units under the Department of Culture and Sports.  Although there are adjustments compared to the old plan, the director of the program is committed to the content of the art performances that will highlight the meaning of this Festival.

 After listening to representatives of units and localities reporting on the preparation work, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang highly appreciated the initiative in planning and implementing related tasks of the Department of Culture and Sports. However, he noted that the standing unit, the owner of the 8th Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Festival - 2023 should coordinate with relevant units to promote propaganda, both on mass media and visual propaganda.

 Besides, carefully prepare the stage of welcoming delegations to the festival, showing the host's affection. For localities with martial arts exchange points, it is necessary to actively coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports to have a suitable and lively performance plan. The recruitment and training of collaborators should be paid attention to to ensure that the support for the delegations is convenient both in accommodation and moving to locations.
