 Reporting to the delegation, Mr. Phan Chi Hung - Chairman of Tay Son District People's Committee said: In the first 6 months of 2024, the district's economy has seen good growth. The total product value of main production sectors (agriculture, forestry, fisheries; industry - construction; trade - services) reached over 3,647 billion VND, reaching 47.50% of the year's plan. Product value growth rate reached 10.33%; exceeded the yearly plan by 0.83% (9.1 - 9.5%). Total budget revenue generated in the district reached 227.78 billion VND, an increase of 131.79% over the same period; Manage budget expenditures to ensure savings, compliance with regulations and efficiency. The district has focused on speeding up the progress of compensation, site clearance and resettlement to implement key works and projects of the Central and Provincial governments in the district, and infrastructure investment projects. of districts and investment projects in industrial clusters; Promote waste collection and treatment, and guide waste classification at source. The district also focuses on directing the establishment of procedures to implement socio-economic development works and projects, urban development and new rural construction in the area; Implement the Urban Development Plan 2024; Prepare and adjust the general planning project of Tay Son urban area until 2035 and submit it to the province and its departments for appraisal; embellishing urban and rural areas, building landscapes, bright - green - clean - beautiful environments... Along with the results in the economic field, the cultural - social field also has many positive changes; The lives of the majority of people are improved, social security is guaranteed; Political security, social order and safety are maintained; The direction, administration and management activities of the government apparatus have made many progresses.

 Tay Son district recommends that the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments pay attention to support and guide the locality in the process of formulating and implementing the pilot project to build standard agricultural raw material areas for production,  consumption and export, period 2024 - 2027 as well as funding support for implementation; Pay attention and support to help the district complete the goal of building Tay Son district to reach a class IV urban area in 2024. In addition, Tay Son district requested the Provincial People's Committee to consider allowing the establishment of Binh Thanh industrial cluster; Include 02 events: the Festival commemorating the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da Victory and the Death Anniversary of Emperor Quang Trung into the series of major festivals and events of the province and at the same time assign the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports to coordinate with relevant sectors concerned and the People's Committee of Tay Son district to develop a project to upgrade the festivals and events mentioned above...

 At the meeting, representatives of leaders of relevant departments and branches responded to opinions and recommendations of Tay Son district; At the same time, propose solutions to promote socio-economic development of Tay Son district in the coming time to achieve the targets and tasks in 2024 assigned by the Provincial People's Committee and District People's Council.

 Orienting the tasks in the coming time, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang asked Tay Son district to promote the achieved results, review shortcomings and limitations to focus on removing and implementing well the 9 groups. Key tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of the year have been set out.  In specific fields, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang requested Tay Son district to proactively coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to carry out planning for raw material areas and key crops for the locality.  Effectively implement livestock development policies, continue to direct the development of total herd numbers and improve the quality of livestock and poultry herds. Coordinate survey and planning of raw material areas for the agricultural and forestry product manufacturing and processing factory invested by Vinanutrifood Joint Stock Company in Tay Son district. Direct the review and registration of OCOP products and guide subjects to implement the contents in the product evaluation dossier, organize the evaluation and ranking of products registered to participate in 2024. Urge manufacturers  Investment and business in industrial cluster infrastructure to implement projects approved by the Provincial People's Committee. Continue to call on businesses to invest in projects in the area. Create conditions and encourage the development of all types of trade and services in the district. Strengthen state management in the tourism sector.

 In addition, Tay Son district needs to strengthen guidance on land and mineral resource management, resolutely handle cases of land encroachment and illegal mineral resource exploitation. Promote inspection of compliance with environmental protection laws.  Accelerate construction progress, soon complete and put into use key works and projects of the district to create motivation for local development.

 Tay Son district also needs to improve the quality and efficiency of activities in the fields of culture, health, and education.
