A delegation of Champasak Department of Science and Technology, People’s Democratic and Republic of Laos paid a working visit to Binh Dinh.

Based on the Memorandum of Cooperation signed on December 28, 2015, Department of Science and Technology of Champasak and Binh Dinh discussed a number of the issues that the two sides should cooperate: the cooperation on research, application and technology transfer with the priority on biology technology and information technology; the cooperation on intellectual property with the focus on the establishing of trademarks, industrial designs; the cooperation on supply and exchange of scientific and technological information; the cooperation on experience sharing in science and technology management; the cooperation on human resource training and services of science and technology.

Besides, both sides discussed the training assistance in such fields as research and cultivate saplings of medicine plants for healthcare services; database management; checking and testing the quality of goods including petroleum, electronic devices, construction materials, the standard and measurement of plant varieties, etc.

In the coming time, Binh Dinh Department of Science and Technology will send delegations to Champasak Department of Science and Technology, People’s Democratic of Laos in order to survey and set up detailed cooperation schemes for each field.

As scheduled, Binh Dinh high-ranking delegation will visit Southern Provinces of Laos from July 10 till July 17, 2016 so as to evaluate the results of cooperation in the period of 2014 – 2016 and sign the minutes of cooperation in the period of 2016 – 2020. Investment Promotion Center will provide detailed information.
