A delegation of New Zealand Embassy in Vietnam had a field visit in Vinh Thanh District so as to prepare for the implementation of the project “Sustainable Safe Vegetable Production”

On June 13th, 2016 a delegation of New Zealand Embassy in Vietnam and New Zealand Food Institute had a field visit in Vinh Thanh District so as to prepare for the implementation of the project “Sustainable Safe Vegetable Production”. Vinh Thanh is one of the three districts selected to implement the project “Sustainable Rural Livelihoods – Connecting Farmers to Markets” funded by New Zealand Government.

A delegation of New Zealand Embassy in Vietnam and New Zealand Food Institute had a field visit at a vegetable garden in Vinh Son.


The delegation had a meeting with leaders of Vinh Thanh District, exchanging production situations with farmers inVinh Son Commune and finding out the weather, the climate, soil conditions and farming practices of Vinh Son people in order to prepare for the implementation of the project “Sustainable Safe Vegetable Production”. At the meeting, the delegation of New Zealand Embassy in Vietnam and New Zealand Food Institute highly valued the feasibility of the project and agreed to implement the project “Sustainable Safe Vegetable Production” in Vinh Son Commune, focusing on the training for technical cadres and farmers regarding production process, storage process as well as the quality control process at production places, the expansion of consumption markets and the improvement of sustainable safe vegetable products.
