At the meeting, Provincial Party Committee Secretary Ho Quoc Dung expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori and gave an overview of the province's socio-economic situation in 2022 as well as development orientation in the coming years.
         
Provincial Party Committee Secretary Ho Quoc Dung said that over the past time, Binh Dinh province had focused on introducing images, potential, advantages, socio-economic achievements to Japanese partners, in order to invite Japanese businesses and investors to cooperate, invest and do business in the province. Activities for connecting and promoting cooperation between the province and Japanese partners had been maintained regularly. Binh Dinh had cooperation with many Japanese localities such as: Sakai City in Kansai, Izumisano City in Osaka,... In the field of investment cooperation, Binh Dinh had so far attracted 19 projects of Japanese enterprises and investors, with a total registered investment capital of more than 97 million USD.
         
Consul General Yakabe Yoshinori thanked provincial leaders for warm welcome and emphasized that in his position, he would make efforts to strongly promote cultural exchange, investment and trade cooperation between Japan and Binh Dinh in particular, and the provinces in Central Viet Nam in general.
         
Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori wished that 2023 would mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, so he hoped that the province would coordinate with the Consulate General to organize cultural exchange programs and other activities, in order to further tighten the strategic partnership between the 2 countries.
         
On the same day, at the Provincial People's Committee Headquarters, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh received the Consul General of Japan in Da Nang city Yakabe Yoshinori.
         
At the reception, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh gave an overview of cooperation between Binh Dinh province and Japan. Thanks to the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai, the province successfully organized many activities to develop friendship and investment cooperation with localities and partners of Japan. The Association also helped to connect Binh Dinh province and Izumisano city in Osaka (Japan) to establish their relations in 2019. Currently, Binh Dinh province and the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai are jointly preparing many meaningful activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (21/9/1973 - 21/9/2023).
         
On this occasion, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh hoped that the Consul General would continue to pay attention and support Binh Dinh province in introducing the province to Japanese partners, corporations and associations; at the same time, connect potential Japanese investors and enterprises to cooperate, invest and do business in the province in the fields that Japan had strengths. The Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee was committed to creating favorable conditions for Japanese partners and businesses to survey and invest in the province.

Consul General of Japan in Da Nang city Yakabe Yoshinori was pleased with the good cooperation results between Binh Dinh province and Japanese partners over the past time. Consul General Yakabe Yoshinori said that the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang was established in early 2022 and the establishment of the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang would contribute to enhancing the relationship between Japan and Central Viet Nam, including Binh Dinh province.
         
Within the framework of the visit, Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori - Consul General of Japan in Da Nang city took field trips to Nhon Hoi Industrial Park - Zone A, Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh and visited the Twin Towers, ExploraScience Quy Nhon./.
