1. Complete and exceed socio-economic and Party building targets in 2024
In 2024, the province's socio-economic situation continued to grow and develop with many bright colors: Achieved and exceeded 20/21 targets assigned by the Provincial People's Council (1 target not achieved was the growth rate of total social development investment capital); achieved and exceeded 10/11 targets set by the Provincial People's Committee (1 target not achieved was attracting new projects).

The growth rate of the total product value in the area (GRDP) is estimated to reach 7.78% (target 7.5 - 8%); ranked 26/63 localities nationwide, ranked 6/14 localities in the North Central and Central Coast regions, ranked 2/5 localities in the Central Central sub-region.
Industrial production is a bright spot in the economic picture in 2024. The index of industrial production (IIP) is estimated to increase by 10% over the same period (the annual plan is to increase from 7 - 7.7%). State budget revenue recorded impressive results with VND 15,615 billion, reaching 107.8% of the estimate, up 23.2% over the same period.
Disbursement of public investment capital managed by the province reached more than VND 8,807 billion, exceeding 11.98% of the capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister, reaching 98.49% of the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Council, among the top in the country.
By the end of 2024, the poverty rate in the province will be 1.01%, down 2.12% compared to 2023. The near-poor household rate will be 2.18%, down 0.84% compared to 2023. In 2025, the province strives to reduce the poverty rate to 0.62%, lower than the average poverty rate in the country.
In 2024, the entire Party building organization sector completed a large amount of assigned work, including many unexpected and complicated tasks, which were highly appreciated by Party committees at all levels. Notably, 3,629 new Party members were admitted in 2024, reaching 5.11% of the total number of Party members in the entire Party Committee, bringing the total number of Party members in the entire Provincial Party Committee to 77,930, contributing positively to the target of the rate of new Party members reaching 4% of the total number of Party members in the entire Party Committee in the 2020-2025 term.
2. Well implement the work of organizing cadres, perfecting the leadership at all levels
The Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board and the Department of Home Affairs have promptly advised on perfecting and supplementing the Party Committees, leaders and managers at all levels in accordance with procedures and regulations, ensuring good leadership, direction and operation of all assigned tasks.

In 2024, the Provincial People's Committee recognized 4 communes meeting new rural standards in 2023; 7 communes meeting advanced new rural standards and 1 commune meeting model new rural standards; The Prime Minister recognized 2 districts Tay Son and Phu My meeting new rural standards in 2023.

Up to now, the whole province has 113 communes implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction; Of which, 91/113 communes have completed the task of building new rural areas (80.5%); 24/91 communes have been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting advanced new rural standards (26.3%); 1 commune has met model new rural standards; 7 district-level units have been recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting standards/completing the task of building new rural areas (63.63%).
From 2019 to 2024, Binh Dinh has supported 5,361 poor and near-poor households to build new and repair temporary and dilapidated houses with a total amount of more than 227 billion VND, contributing to ensuring stable living conditions and helping households gradually escape poverty. Currently, the whole province has more than 2,050 poor, near-poor and newly escaped poverty households in need of support to build new and repair houses with a total cost of more than 107 billion VND.
Implementing the national target program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2025, the total budget allocated to implement the program from 2021 to present is 757 billion VND; striving for the average income of ethnic minorities to increase by more than 2 times compared to 2020; the poverty rate among ethnic minorities to decrease by 3 - 4% each year.
4. Successfully organize the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Binh Dinh province, term 2024 - 2029
The 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Binh Dinh province, term 2024 - 2029 with the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development" took place on August 28 and 29, and consulted to elect 78 members of the Binh Dinh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XII. Comrade Nguyen Thi Phong Vu - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, was re-elected as Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XII.

Implementing the law and ordinance making program in 2024, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation has organized to collect opinions on 41 draft laws that were considered for approval and commented on at National Assembly sessions in many appropriate forms. Delegates in the Delegation have actively researched, commented on, and examined draft laws according to their functions and tasks. Many opinions of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation stated in the law comment reports and of the National Assembly Deputies in the Delegation participating in the sessions have been considered, accepted, and added to the draft laws.

In 2024, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council presided over and coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and relevant departments and branches to prepare content and successfully organize 6 sessions of the Provincial People's Council. At the sessions, the People's Council considered and approved 162 resolutions, including many important resolutions for the province's socio-economic development.
6. Ensuring and performing well the tasks of national defense - security, maintaining social order and safety
In 2024, the contents of national defense work, military assignment, maintaining combat readiness regimes, and force building all achieved the assigned targets and tasks.

During the year, the whole province had 2,835 young people joining the army and police units (2,505 young people from the army and 330 young people from the police), reaching 100% of the target.
The province has established and launched a force to participate in protecting security and order at the grassroots level with 1,116 security and order protection teams, with 3,933 members, contributing to maintaining social order and safety.
7. In 2024, Binh Dinh province organized many major events, festivals, and tourism promotion activities such as: Quy Nhon International Outdoor Furniture Fair 2024 (QFAIR 2024); Amazing Binh Dinh Fest 2024 Culture, Sports, and Tourism Week; Summer tourism event series 2024; VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon 2024; Binh Dinh Land and Sea Quintessence Festival 2024; coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to organize the program "Tourism, Cinema, and Sports - Proud of Vietnamese Identity"; Hoai Nhon Town Tourism Festival 2024..., contributing to promoting trade, services, and tourism development in the province.

In 2024, Binh Dinh will welcome 9.2 million tourists, an increase of 83.9% compared to 2023 (exceeding the resolution set for the 2020 - 2025 period of welcoming 8 million visitors); tourism revenue is estimated at VND 25,500 billion, an increase of 55.4% over the same period in 2023.
8. Domestic, foreign affairs, and investment promotion activities have many innovations and highlights, attracting many investment projects from many domestic and foreign partners
In 2024, Binh Dinh's investment attraction activities achieved positive results with 71 new projects since the beginning of the year, including 4 FDI projects, with a total registered capital of nearly VND 19,000 billion.

The province has organized conferences to promote and call for investment, including the Binh Dinh Investment Promotion Conference 2024 with more than 1,000 delegates attending, especially many of the world's leading billionaires, large corporations, domestic and foreign investors; at the same time, welcoming and working with many organizations, enterprises and partners to survey, learn and register for investment. The province has also organized investment promotion delegations to countries such as Germany, France, the Netherlands, Japan, Thailand, etc.
9. Timely implementation of the Planning and Plan to implement the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 and sectoral and field planning in a synchronous and effective manner
On July 31, 2024, the Prime Minister signed Decision 734/QD-TTg promulgating the Plan to implement the Binh Dinh Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. On that basis, on November 15, 2024, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 193/KH-UBND on implementing the Binh Dinh Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Complete the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Quy Nhon City according to Resolution No. 1257/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated October 24, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee. Specifically, the entire natural area and population of Le Hong Phong and Ly Thuong Kiet wards will be merged into Tran Phu ward; the entire natural area and population of Tran Hung Dao and Le Loi wards will be merged into Thi Nai ward. After the arrangement, Quy Nhon City will have 12 wards and 5 communes. Binh Dinh is leading the "Service to People and Enterprises" Index rankings as of early December 2024 with 90.59 points.
