(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the morning of December 10, at the Provincial People's Committee Office, the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee and VinUni University - under Vingroup Group held a signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding on cooperation in developing the Green Growth Project of Binh Dinh Province 2025-2030.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dr. Le Mai Lan, Vice Chairman of Vingroup Group, Chairman of the Board of VinUni University; Professor Edmund Malesky, Director of the Center for International Development of Duke University, USA, Chief Consultant.

At the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan and Dr. Le Mai Lan - Vice Chairman of Vingroup Corporation, Chairman of the Board of VinUni University signed a memorandum of understanding to promote green transformation and green growth, including but not limited to strengthening cooperation in developing and implementing management and technology solutions to promote green transformation and green growth in all economic and social aspects for Binh Dinh province.

Regarding the cooperation method, the two sides will share information, connect domestic and foreign resources on science, technology and innovation related to green transformation and green growth on the basis of compliance with the provisions of Vietnamese law. Coordinate the implementation of consulting, research, training activities, organize conferences, seminars and events on green transformation and green growth. Research, develop and implement the Green Transformation Project of Binh Dinh province for the period 2025-2030; organize the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation results of the Project.

VinUni University consults on the development and implementation of the Green Transformation Project for Binh Dinh Province in the period 2025-2030; supports the connection of domestic and foreign resources to implement programs and projects according to the Project, coordinates the implementation of research, training, coaching, conferences, seminars and events on green transformation and green growth.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that in July 2023, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province issued Decision No. 2748/QD-UBND on the Green Growth Action Plan of Binh Dinh province, period 2023 - 2030 with the aim of organizing the implementation of Decision No. 1658 of the Prime Minister approving the National Strategy on Green Growth for the period 2021-2030, vision 2050. To achieve this goal, there are many criteria and standards that need to be implemented, including restructuring and perfecting economic institutions towards greening existing economic sectors and encouraging economic sectors to effectively use clean energy and resources with high added value; Research and widely apply advanced technologies to optimize and effectively use natural resources, help reduce emissions and combat climate change; improve people's lives, build a green, environmentally friendly lifestyle.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan also requested VinUni University to survey, carefully calculate, and evaluate the feasibility of projects in the implementation organization, thereby recommending to the province the order of priority in the implementation process; the output of the Project must develop recommendations on specific policies for the province.
