Workshop "AI IoT Platform - Digital Infrastructure for Economic Development"

The workshop was attended by Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry Le Nam Trung; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts, towns, cities, universities, colleges, telecommunications and information technology enterprises in the province.

In his welcoming speech at the workshop, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that Binh Dinh is proud to be one of the leading localities in implementing the application of new technologies in Vietnam. With the strategic vision and determination of the entire political system, the province has developed a comprehensive digital transformation plan, focusing on developing digital infrastructure, attracting high-quality human resources and applying advanced technologies in state management, production, business, as well as improving the quality of life of the people.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized: Digital transformation is not simply a "technology journey" but also a revolution in thinking. To achieve success, close cooperation between the state, businesses and the whole society is needed. Binh Dinh is ready to play the role of a bridge, a place where knowledge and technology converge to build a comprehensive and sustainable digital future.  At the same time, it is hoped that through the workshop, breakthrough solutions and effective cooperation models will be found to bring artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) applications into the most practical life.

According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, in recent times, the province has continuously innovated its thinking, working methods and management methods. The province has been implementing many important projects such as using clean energy, building smart cities, developing digital agriculture, ... in which artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) play a key role. In addition, the province has cooperated with many leading technology enterprises, implementing key projects and plans such as the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Supporting Urban Areas, the Project for Developing Semiconductor Industry, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber ​​Security and Safety, and high-tech solutions.  These efforts aim to promote Binh Dinh to become a leading regional center for artificial intelligence, semiconductors and innovation.

The head of the provincial government pledged to mobilize all resources to create a favorable investment environment and an open technology ecosystem, where businesses and scientists can innovate, cooperate and develop together. Binh Dinh will continue to be a reliable and sustainable destination for innovation initiatives and strategic investments.

At the workshop, Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry Le Nam Trung said: We are living in the era of digital economy, where technology plays a key role in driving growth, innovation and competition. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) have become two key technologies in shaping the future of the economy and society. These are core technologies, foundational technologies, and are the main agents of the Digital Transformation revolution.

 The trend of applying AI and IoT to socio-economic development is inevitable; from serving individuals, families, businesses, organizations to communes, wards, districts, cities and the whole country today.

Deputy Director Le Nam Trung also recommended that Binh Dinh province needs to invest in smart connection infrastructure such as building IoT sensor systems for smart cities, especially in traffic, energy and environmental management. Deploying 5G network infrastructure in industrial parks, urban areas and key economic areas. Building an AI IoT Research Center in Binh Dinh: This center will play a leading role in researching, testing and deploying AI IoT solutions, connecting with universities and research institutes nationwide. In addition, the province needs to quickly build and deploy digital government step by step; develop an innovation ecosystem; promote digital transformation in key economic sectors; train digital human resources and build a stable legal environment.

At the workshop, delegates listened to representatives from telecommunications and information technology enterprises, such as: VNPT Technology Software Technology Center, FPT Smart Cloud Company, Oryza System Technology Joint Stock Company, Au Lac Software Development Company... presenting speeches on topics such as: Building an IoT ecosystem for households and enterprises; creating a new business future with AI, sharing about the trend of enterprises applying AI in operations and business, AI Factory; IoT, Metadata and AI applied in the field of security monitoring; multi-channel communication system for state management agencies and enterprises.

 The workshop devoted time for delegates to exchange, share experiences and seek breakthrough solutions to optimally apply AI and IoT in all fields.
