Provincial Department of Culture and Sports deploys tasks for 2025

(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of December 30, at the Provincial Conference Center, the Department of Culture and Sports (DSC) held a conference to review the work of the DSC in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. Comrade Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and directed the conference; also attending were leaders of departments, branches, representatives of the People's Committees and cultural sectors of districts, towns and cities.

The report at the conference said that in 2024, the province's cultural, sports and family career activities have well served the political tasks of the Party and State from the province to the grassroots; with many diverse forms, improved quality, well meeting the needs of enjoyment, healthy entertainment of the people. State management of culture and sports has been strengthened, unified in direction; especially institutions, mechanisms, policies on culture and sports have been supplemented, newly built to create a legal corridor, favorable conditions for localities and units in the management and organization of cultural activities, cultural services and sports. The industry's outstanding mark in the past year has been the successful organization of many major cultural and sports events of national and international scale; attracting a large number of tourists to Binh Dinh, such as: International Teqball Tournament; International Beach Tennis Tournament; Jet Ski Racing and UIM F1H2O World Championship; National Football Championship... The province's high-performance sports achieved some positive results and exceeded the annual plan by 51%, when Binh Dinh sports athletes participated in 7 international tournaments, 20 national championships, bringing home more than 100 medals of all kinds. In addition, the work of preserving, embellishing and promoting traditional cultural values and cultural heritage continues to receive attention. In 2025, the provincial Department of Culture and Sports will preside over and advise on organizing a number of key activities, such as: Art program to celebrate the Party, celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025; build the mascot of the Spring of At Ty 2025; Celebrate the 236th anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory (1789 - 2025); Rally to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Dinh province and an art program combined with fireworks display; expected International Motorized Paragliding Race 2025; 2nd Traditional Boat Race; Binh Dinh Marathon 2025; National Pickleball Championship; Binh Dinh Province Coastal Culture and Sports Festival 2025...

At the conference, delegates spoke, presented papers and discussed important issues of the industry. The opinions and recommendations from the delegates were listened to and recorded, in order to complete the action plan for 2025.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the results and achievements that the province's Culture and Sports sector achieved in 2024.

Orienting the tasks for the industry in 2025, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized that this is a very important year, the final year of implementing the Socio-Economic Development Plan for the period 2021 - 2025, the year of preparing the best conditions for successfully organizing Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; is a year facing a turning point - the era of national growth; that poses many high requirements and tasks of a breakthrough nature with new ways of doing things, new thinking for the culture and sports industry. Therefore, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and localities to focus on preserving, disseminating and promoting the values of cultural heritage; socializing heritage to exploit potential; focusing on organizing cultural and sports events on major holidays so that culture connects tourism; maintain the mass sports movement for people to practice health, develop high-performance sports.

Along with that, the Department of Culture advised the province to register projects with the Central Government to implement the national target program on cultural revival; rearrange the apparatus resources to ensure effective operation when merging the Department of Culture and Sports with the Department of Tourism...
