Binh Dinh signs cooperation agreement with Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai City

(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the morning of December 18, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province and the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai City, Japan signed a cooperation agreement between the two sides, aiming to coordinate and support agencies, localities, and enterprises in Binh Dinh province to connect and cooperate with Japanese partners and vice versa on the basis of equality, mutual respect and mutual benefit.

Attending the signing ceremony were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Mr. Kato Hirosuke, Chairman of the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan and Mr. Kato Hirosuke, Chairman of the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai signed a cooperation agreement between the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee and the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai City, Japan. According to the signed minutes, the two sides will coordinate and support the introduction and promotion of the potential, advantages, cooperation and investment opportunities of Binh Dinh Province to Japanese enterprises, investors and partners; introduce and support Japanese enterprises and investors in Sakai City to Binh Dinh Province to survey and seek investment and business cooperation opportunities in areas of mutual interest. At the same time, coordinate and support enterprises to access the market;  green development trends, applications of science and technology, high technology, new technology, etc. of each side to improve management capacity, production and business to meet the requirements of import and export, and product consumption for enterprises.

The two sides also determined to support the business community of the Parties to take advantage of the advantages of the Trade Agreement that Vietnam and Japan jointly participate in, in order to contribute to promoting the implementation of commitments in the Agreement; coordinate to promote cooperation in the development of the fields of agriculture, tourism, health, culture, education and other fields of mutual interest.

Binh Dinh currently has 03 local-level cooperation agreements signed with Japan, including: Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee and Izumisano City Government of Osaka Prefecture; Vinh Thanh District People's Committee and Yoshino Town Government of Nara Prefecture; Quy Nhon City People's Committee and Ashikaga City Government of Tochigi Prefecture.

 Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized that Binh Dinh province always identifies the Japanese market and partners as very important and with great potential. Therefore, the province not only promotes investment attraction from Japanese enterprises but also promotes appropriate cooperative relationships with localities and Japanese partners to attract resources, especially strengths in capital, machinery and equipment, science and technology, etc. to serve socio-economic development. The province also actively coordinates to promote the image, potentials, advantages, policies and strategies to attract investment, develop trade and tourism of the province abroad in general and in Japan in particular.

Currently, there are 19 projects of Japanese enterprises in the province, with a total registered investment capital of nearly 97 million USD. Provincial leaders always create favorable conditions and regularly meet with businesses to encourage and motivate them to expand and improve their production and business capacity.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan hopes that Binh Dinh province and the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai city, Japan will regularly coordinate to organize conferences, seminars to promote investment, cultural, educational and sports exchanges... in Binh Dinh and in some localities in Japan to strengthen the cooperative relationship, exchange and mutual understanding to continuously consolidate and promote the effectiveness of the cooperative and friendly relationship between the signed parties.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Kato Hirosuke, Chairman of the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai, believed that the signing would create a new step forward in the cooperative relationship between the two sides.  He also proposed to organize discussions to specify the contents that the two sides had signed.
