(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the morning of October 11, in Da Nang city, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan attended the 2nd Conference of the North Central Coast and Central Coast Coordination Council on regional planning period 2021-2030, vision to 2050.
The conference was chaired by comrade Tran Hong Ha - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Coordinating Council for the North Central and Central Coast regions. Co-chaired by comrades: Nguyen Chi Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Planning and Investment; Secretary of Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang. At the Conference, presenting the main contents of the Regional Planning, Comrade Nguyen Chi Dung - Minister of Planning and Investment emphasized: Planning for the North Central and Central Coast regions for the period 2021-2030, Vision to 2050 is a step to concretize the National Master Plan, demonstrating the major and basic orientations of national sector plans on spatial organization of development; helping to "pave the way", creating development driving forces, development potential, new development space for the country and region and expressed specifically on the spatial scale of each locality.
The North Central region and Central Coast are particularly important strategic areas in terms of politics, economics, culture, society, defense, security and foreign affairs of the whole country; is the "front" of the country and the "gut" of the Fatherland, the "gateway" to the sea and the "pedestal" for the Central Highlands provinces. In the recent period, the entire region has achieved many important results and achievements in terms of economy, society, security and defense. Average economic growth in the period 2005-2020 is 7.3%/year on average, higher than the national growth rate in the same period. The region's economic scale in 2020 reached 1,157 trillion VND, 3.3 times higher than in 2010. The economic structure shifted towards service and industry as the main focus; A number of basic economic sectors, especially marine economic sectors and industries with high added value, were formed and developed.

At the Conference, the Ministry of Planning and Investment would like to consult and collect opinions from members and members of the Regional Coordination Council, relevant agencies and organizations, experts and scientists regarding the version draft Planning for the North Central and Central Coast regions for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. On that basis, the Ministry of Planning and Investment will focus on researching, absorbing and completing the planning documents.
