Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Bui Tan Thanh - Chairman of Vinh Thanh District People's Committee said: In the district there are 2 areas at high risk of landslides (village O3 and high point area 130, Dak Tra village, Vinh commune); 3 low landslide risk areas (O5 village, Vinh Kim commune, Suoi Cat village, Vinh Son commune, M3 village, Vinh Thinh commune); 2 landslide areas causing traffic disruption (DH33 traffic road from Dinh Binh lake dam to Vinh Son commune; traffic road from Vinh Son pass intersection to Dak Tra village, O5, O3, O2, Kon Tru, Vinh Kim commune ). When natural disasters occur, about 1,460 households and over 4,580 people in areas prone to flooding, areas at high risk of landslides and flash floods, and areas with traffic disruption and isolated areas have to relocate safe.

To proactively control disasters in the area, up to now, the Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense (PCTT - TKCN & PTDS) of districts, communes and towns have been consolidated and issued regulations. operating mechanism and assignment of tasks to each member. The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Population Development at irrigation and hydropower reservoir management units located in the district was also established and consolidated according to regulations. In addition, the District People's Committee and the People's Committees of communes and towns have developed disaster prevention plans for the period 2021-2025; Plans to respond to natural disasters at district and commune levels in 2023, plans to evacuate people to respond to storms, floods, and mountain landslides. Disaster prevention preparation work according to the motto "4 on the spot" to respond to storms, floods, inundations, flash floods, and landslides is also focused on being implemented by the locality. 

Vinh Thanh District People's Committee proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct the investor to urgently speed up the construction progress of a number of key items of upgrading Suoi Xem bridge road (the section adjacent to Vinh Quang commune and Vinh Thanh town), route DH33 road from Dinh Binh lake dam to Vinh Son to ensure construction safety and smooth traffic when storms occur.
