Provincial leaders worked with Phu Cat district on socio-economic development tasks in 2024
(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of January 13, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan chaired a meeting to listen to a report assessing the socio-economic situation in 2023 and the direction and tasks in 2024 of the Phu District People's Committee. According to the report of Phu Cat District People's Committee, in 2023, the locality will meet and exceed 13/14 targets assigned by the Provincial People's Committee. Total product value increases by 9.8% compared to 2022, 1.7% higher than the province's GRDP growth rate.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh suggested some socio-economic development orientations for Phu Cat district.
In 2024, Phu Cat strives for total production value to increase by 14.2%. To achieve this goal, the district determines to continue creating favorable conditions and encouraging the development of specialized production areas and high-tech agricultural areas producing key crops of the district, in association with local authorities, growing area codes, traceability applications and quality management along the value chain from production to product consumption. Strengthen investment promotion coordination. Continue to implement the project of branding and trade promotion, supporting the consumption of typical products and OCOP products of the district in the period of 2023 - 2025.
Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan acknowledged the initiative and flexibility of Phu Cat district in analyzing and directing socio-economic development with specific targets. The political system unites to implement socio-economic tasks and attract investment.

According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Phu Cat district has all 5 pillars of economic development. With agriculture, there is currently a cattle processing factory project located in the area, along with strong agricultural products such as peanuts, coconuts, and chickens. The district continues to build linked chains and raw material areas for processing and consumption.
For the industrial sector, the district reviews and selects investors with investment capacity and attracts partners and secondary projects. Regarding urban areas, with the orientation of developing coastal urban areas and Phu Cat airport area, this is an important opportunity for the district to expand space and develop urban economy.
Regarding tourism, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assessed that the conditions for developing marine tourism associated with Phu Cat's historical and cultural relics are very good, however, the district coordinated with relevant departments to review all projects have been registered for investment, urge investors to implement projects to ensure progress and propose measures to handle cases of investment registration for the purpose of reservation and transfer. The district continues to manage and solve environmental problems, especially the marine environment, and preserve the landscape to attract tourists. Propagate and mobilize people to be aware of environmental protection.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan also reminded Phu Cat district leaders to continue to correct working habits, enforce public service ethics, and fundamentally change the way they behave with people, respect and be close to people. At the same time, note that the district must ensure the operating budget for the commune-level government, spending correctly and fully the provincial budget to support the commune level to implement local activities./.
