The Opening Ceremony of Binh Dinh Summer Tourist Festival in 2016

On the evening of June 22, 2016, at the Provincial Square, Quy Nhon City, People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province organized the Opening Ceremony of Binh Dinh Summer Tourist Festival in 2016. The performances entitled “Return to the unforgettable seaside city of Quy Nhon – Binh Dinh” attracted a large number of people, publicizing and welcoming tourists to Quy Nhon - a city with beautiful landscape and unique cultural heritage. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Le Kim Toan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Binh Dinh Party Committee, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee, former leaders of Binh Dinh Province, delegates of the National Politics and Administration Academy of Laos and a lot of people and visitors.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee highlighted the meaning, contents, purposes, requirements, and schemes to implement Binh Dinh Summer Tourist Festival in 2016 entitled “Return to the unforgettable seaside city of Quy Nhon – Binh Dinh” with an aim of publicizing and advertising national and international tourists the potential and advantages to develop Binh Dinh tourism.

Quy Nhon will become an attractive destination and Binh Dinh tourism will become an important economic sector during the process of building Binh Dinh to be a quite developed province in the central region of Vietnam under the Resolution of the 19^th Provincial Party Congress, period 2015-2020.

The time period of the festival is from early June till September 2^nd. The festival includes attractive and important series of activities such as children's festivity; coastal area sports – culture festival; the Inauguration Ceremony of FLC Quy Nhon Golf Links, the 2016 global Vietnamese Identity Miss Competition, the international conferences and international courses in physics in 2016, and the Sixth International Festival of Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts Festival – Binh Dinh 2016.

After the opening ceremony, the art performance and unique martial arts include return to the unforgettable seaside city of Quy Nhon; heritage journey and friends joining hands together, performed by well-known Vietnamese singers, actors and actresses from Bai choi folk art group, Dao Tan classical drama group and Binh Dinh Provincial Cultural Center.
