 At the meeting, Mr. Hiroshi Kudo - General Director of energy system development department of Tokyo Sangyo Company and Mr. Takahiro Ikeda - Director of international sales promotion department of Daichu Corporation said that the two businesses and  Vietnamese partner (Phu Tai Bioenergy Joint Stock Company) has signed a long-term cooperation commitment to implement the production forest planting project in Binh Dinh province. Investors propose to lease 15,000 hectares of forest from state-owned enterprises in the province to plant large timber forests and build a long-term raw material area for a wood pellet factory with a capacity of 160,000 tons/year in Binh Dinh. Total investment capital of the production forest planting project is about 60 million USD, equivalent to 1,410 billion VND.

 Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that the total area of forestry planning land divided by production function in the province in 2022 is over 75,000 hectares. Currently, the province is encouraging the planting of large timber forests. The total output of wood exploited in the province is currently about 1 million tons/year, meeting 81% of the capacity of pellet factories in the area.
