In 2024, the Science and Technology sector closely followed the tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee and achieved certain results, strengthening the activities of solving professional tasks via electronic information networks. The policies set forth by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee were all concretized by the Department of Science and Technology into clear and specific tasks and solutions.  In directing and operating, the focus was correctly identified and the implementation was resolutely organized. The implementation process was creative and regularly inspected, summarized, and summarized to draw timely lessons, thereby achieving many results in the implementation of S&T tasks in 2024, contributing positively to the overall tasks of the province. The results of implementing a number of targets in the Provincial Party Committee's Action Program up to now have exceeded the set targets. Applied research activities, especially the application of science and technology to production and life, have contributed to improving the productivity, quality, and efficiency of a number of crops, livestock, and commodity products; a number of S&T projects have created key products of the province such as pharmaceuticals and agricultural products.  Specifically, the contribution of total factor productivity (TFP) to the province's GRDP growth in 2023 is 40.34%, in 2024 and 2025 it is estimated to be 41.2%. The estimated implementation in the 2021-2025 period is 39.6%. The rate of technological innovation in 2024 is estimated to reach 17.30%; 12 new science and technology enterprises have been established (reaching 120% of the target set for the 2020-2025 period); Supported the commercialization of 20 innovative products, scientific research results and technological development (reaching 200% of the target set for the 2020-2025 period). In addition, Binh Dinh Pharmaceutical - Medical Equipment Company has created 49 products formed from the results of scientific and technological research.  Science and technology activities in the province continue to be promoted in the direction of innovation, improving research capacity, application and transfer of scientific and technological advances, serving production and life, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. The sector has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue 11 Decisions to concretize the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws on science and technology into the province's practice; organize the management of 43 science and technology tasks (03 national-level tasks, 40 provincial-level tasks); organize the acceptance of 18 science and technology tasks (03 national-level tasks, 15 provincial-level tasks); participate in giving opinions on technology appraisal for 39 investment projects; Binh Dinh Mai Vang product was granted Geographical Indication by the Department of Intellectual Property, and 01 typical product of Hoai An was registered for protection of a certified trademark and was granted a protection certificate for the certified trademark by the Department of Intellectual Property.  Instructed 100 organizations and individuals on intellectual property rights; granted 06 certificates of science and technology enterprises, bringing the total number of science and technology enterprises in the province to 22; granted certificates of registration of results of science and technology tasks for 15 provincial-level science and technology tasks. Successfully organized 07 scientific conferences on pressing local issues, organized training and registered 2 teams to participate in the LEGO Robot Talent Competition (Robotacon WRO 2024) organized by LEGO-Education, organized the National Community Astronomy Week in 2024 from the day attracting more than 1,000 students and the public who love astronomy to participate. Based on the results achieved, at the Conference, delegates discussed, gave comments and contributed many opinions on the results achieved and the shortcomings and difficulties in the work of the science and technology sector, and at the same time proposed many solutions that need to be implemented to improve the quality and effectiveness of the work of the science and technology sector in the province in the coming time.
