The Opening Session of International Scientific Conference on Cosmology and the workshop on VIET NUS 2017
View of the Conference
At the opening session, Prof. Tran Thanh Van confirmed the main objective of ICISE is to create favorable conditions for international scientists to Vietnam and share with Vietnamese scientists about the latest results of studies in a leisure atmosphere and convenience for new ideas. During this time, the Center (ICISE) has three events: the conference on cosmology, the workshop on Viet Nus 2017- Neutrinos and Vietnam School on Neutrinos. These events are in the framework of “the 13th Meeting Vietnam” in 2017, including: 12 international conferences and 6 international courses of physics.
The international scientific conference on cosmology takes place from July 9 till July 15, 2017. The main topics at the conference: CMB Polarization, Other CMB measurements, Dark Energy, Dark Matter, Inflation and the Early Universe after Planck, Large Scale Structures, Dark Energy and Modified Gravity, String theory and Cosmology and Cosmic neutrino phenomenology would be discussed.
From July 9 till July 22, 2017, the second international scientific workshop on VIET NUS 2017 also takes place at ICISE. The workshop focuses on challenges and limitations of theoretical and experimental science of Neutrino particles, the system issues related to future neutrino measurements. Especially, the scientists would form working groups to discuss particular fields related to neutrinos: Atmospheric neutrino flux, High-energy neutrino fluxes, Tau studies, Solar neutrinos, Systematics in accelerator neutrinos and Sterile neutrinos.
In addition, Vietnam School on Neutrinos also takes place at ICISE. This course lasts within two weeks with its research method on Neutrino experiments and it is assisted and guided by leading scientists on neutrino from Japan.
Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung confirmed how Binh Dinh develops to become a destination for scientists has always been the interest of the provincial leaders, who take it into consideration a new orientation to the provincial socio-economic development. The international scientific conference on cosmology, the workshop on VIET NUS 2017 and Vietnam School on Neutrinos would contribute to attracting the interest and the impact of scientific research, and also the opportunity for outstanding students at universities in Vietnam to participate in scientific research activities together with leading scientists in the world.
His Excellency Mr. Bertrand Lortholary – the French Ambassador to Vietnam congratulated on the success of conferences, workshops that had been held at ICISE and surprised of what he had seen was beyond his previous imagination. He also said with scientific research activities, ICISE would attract young enthusiastic scientists.
