The Leader of Binh Dinh People’s Committee met with the Consulate General of China in Da Nang City

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Phan Cao Thang congratulated her on her official term as the first Consul General of China in Da Nang City, hoping that she as well as her staff would work as a bridge to boost the friendship and cooperation relation between Binh Dinh Province and localities in China.

Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Phan Cao Thang gave a brief on the cooperation between Binh Dinh and China in the past years. Presently, there are many FDI projects, funded by Chinese investors. In 2017, Binh Dinh Province would continue to organize investment and trade promotion programs in different fields to call for Chinese investors: Tourism, processing factories for seafood, electric industry – electronics, engine production for vessels, wood processing, outdoor furniture, the construction of vessel engine factories, mechanics, textile, leather shoes, waste treatment, etc. Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Phan Cao Thang hoped Ms. Hy Tue – Consul General of China in Da Nang City would take an interest and work as a bridge to enhance the friendship and cooperation relation between two sides; at the same time, recommended Chinese enterprises to seek for investment opportunities in Binh Dinh Province in the coming time.

Ms. Hy Tue – Consul General of China in Da Nang City expressed her thanks to Binh Dinh leaders for warm welcome and confirmed that the staff of the Consulate General of China in Da Nang City would make their great efforts to enhance the comprehensive and cooperative relation between localities of China and the provinces in the central regions of Vietnam, including Binh Dinh Province.

* On the afternoon of that day, at the Office of Binh Dinh People’s Committee, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee had a meeting with Mr. Nguyen Cong Khue – Chairman of Managing Board concurrently General Director of Thanh Nien Communication Joint Stock Company and Mr. Juan Pedro Matinez – Technical Director of Univergy Group (Japan) to seek for investment opportunities of a solar power plant in the province.

At the meeting, investors took an interest to invest a solar power plant in Binh Dinh Province, with a capacity of about 100 MW. Initially, if approved by Binh Dinh People’s Committee and recommended an appropriate location, in the first phase, the joint venture of the two groups would implement the construction of a plant, with a capacity of 49 MW, covering on an area of about 67 ha.

According to Mr. Nguyen Cong Khue, Thanh Nien Communication Joint Stock Company is cooperating with Univergy Group in the solar energy field. Coming to know that investing a solar power plant in Binh Dinh Province would be great, the Group hoped to receive the approval from Binh Dinh leaders. Binh Dinh leaders as well as provincial departments, agencies would create favorable conditions for survey and seek for an appropriate location for the project.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Phan Cao Thang welcomed the investor to Binh Dinh Province and said that Binh Dinh would take an interest in renewable energy and is seeking for potential investors to invest in this sector. Presently, there are 13 renewable energy projects, of which there are 6 projects being surveyed to develop investment projects. The province committed to creating favorable conditions for the investors to implement their projects.
