Binh Dinh & Binh Duong: Enhancing the cooperation on socio-economic development

Leaders of the two provinces signed cooperation programs for socio –economic development, period 2017 - 2021

At the meeting, leaders of the two provinces reviewed the results of cooperation for socio-economic development, period 2012-2016, sharing experience on developing, managing industrial zones, the attraction of investment and trade, etc. The most significant point between the two provinces was to promote the investment of a large-scaled project, named Becamex Binh Dinh Service – Urban – Industry Zone, funded by Becamex IDC. The project is covered on an area of 2,308 ha, located in Canh Vinh Commune, Van Canh District, Binh Dinh Province. The project was approved by the Prime Minister of Vietnam to supplement into Nhon Hoi Economic Zone with the aim of receiving the highest priority of the State. To carefully prepare the infrastructure of the project, Binh Dinh is accelerating the investment progress of the western road of the province (DT 639B), linking Becamex Binh Dinh Service – Urban – Industry Zone and Quy Nhon City.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Van Nam highly valued the attained results of cooperation for socio-economic development between the two provinces in the past time. He also emphasized through the cooperation programs the authorities of the two provinces identified the necessity of cooperation with the aim of exploiting advantages of each province, forming the mechanism for agencies, enterprises of both provinces to implement their projects. In the coming time, Binh Duong leaders would create the most favorable conditions for Dinh Duong enterprises to invest in Binh Dinh Province.

Secretary of Binh Dinh Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Tung expressed his thanks to Binh Duong leaders as well as Binh Duong enterprises for their interest in investing large-scaled projects in Binh Dinh. He hoped in the coming time the cooperation for socio-economic development between the two provinces would be further developed. Binh Dinh Province committed to creating the most favorable conditions for Binh Duong enterprises to effectively invest in Binh Dinh Province.

To enhance the contents of cooperation in the coming time, leaders of the two provinces signed the agreement of cooperation for socio-economic development, period 2017-2021. Accordingly, Binh Dinh would promote and create favorable conditions for Becamex IDC to implement the project “Becamex Binh Dinh Service – Urban – Industry Zone” in Canh Vinh Commune (Van Canh District). Both provinces regularly organize and share experience on socio-economic development in such fields as scheming – planning, agriculture – forestry – fishery, new rural construction, trade and industry, promotion and investment, tourism, education and training, healthcare, natural resources and environment, information infrastructure, science and technology, urban construction, etc. Leaders of the two provinces committed to creating open policy mechanisms for investment as well as attracting enterprises to seeking for their investment opportunities in each province.
