Closing ceremony of the Quy Nhon International Sailing and Stand Up Paddleboard Race 2023

(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of October 29, in Quy Nhon city, the Quy Nhon International Sailing and Stand Up Paddleboard Race 2023 - Journey to green the sea, officially closed.

Attending the award ceremony were comrades: Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Asian Sailing Federation, Sports Department, Vietnam Sailing Federation; leaders of relevant departments and branches of the province.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded medals to athletes with high achievements in the competition events. Quy Nhon International Sailing and Stand Up Paddleboard Race 2023 is organized by Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, Vietnam Sailing Federation, Binh Dinh F1 Joint Stock Company and Media Center (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) in 2 months October 28 and 29 at Quy Nhon beach. The tournament attracted 76 athletes to compete in stand-up paddle boarding and 40 athletes (20 foreign athletes, 20 Vietnamese athletes) to compete in sailing. Athletes compete in 10 stand-up paddleboard events, including: 200m and 1,000m for young men and women (from 10 - 16 years old); 200m, 2,000m, 6,000m men's and women's open groups. Along with that are 8 sailing competitions for international athletes, Vietnamese athletes and foreign athletes living in Vietnam.

This is considered the first sporting event in a series of events on the sidelines promoting the 2024 Grand Prix Binh Dinh International Professional Motor Boat Race, which will be held for the first time in Vietnam, and will take place in March 2024 at the Thi Nai lagoon , Quy Nhon City.
